I have that many add ons bought in the Marketplace (I also have even more bought from other stores) it needs functionality similar to addon linker to that we can group add ons (especially airports) in a similar way, so that we can have them downloaded but activate them on and off, maybe even group them by countries/continents. Basically, what you do is set up a new folder specifically for Official addons. Then you move the official addons into the new folder and addon linker will create links in the Official folder, just like Community. Then you can turn official addons on/off with Addon Linker. You can also then add all the official addons to the addon airport map.

If we had an activator within the sim like, I believe P3D does things, would be more straight forward. If you recall SU6 was when there was very little lamentation about the state of development because everything worked very well. Then came the response to all of those folks wanting METAR integration, of which I understand the rationale for moving towards.
