I am trying hard not to make a joke about the mudfight comment... Regarding the PID fix, the guy who made it knows what he is doing. We probably won't use it verbatim but we are in touch as he can really help on this.
January 20, 20224 yr Very odd about that snaking thing: I also don't have that...! (NXi user here!) I usually do RNAV approaches (published or visual), hardly any ILS, but I also can't remember seeing it with ILS... Odd. I do have the yaw damper turned off though: as someone said before in this topic, you need to set it off before the approach. I wonder if everyone does that. Anyway, great to know an update is coming which will improve a few things on an already awesome addon! BTW What I do notice is that the Kodiak often overshoots a waypoint and has to turn more/steeper than should be necessary to get back on track. But I don't think that's related to this snaking behaviour? (Would be nice though if this was sort of fixed or smoothened out a bit). Edited January 20, 20224 yr by tup61

NXi behaviour is better than default G1000 because the underlying autopilot logic is much better. Regarding the overshoot, a tiny bit of overshoot and adjustment is normal. Big overshoot and fading out is something to look into and I think I see what you're saying there. In any case, it is on the hit list and we'll improve these bugs. There is a list of fixes and improvements that we want to make but it is private because we don't want to over-promise.
January 20, 20224 yr So with so many new and happy Kodiak 100 owners what are some recommended youtube videos? I will most like buy this one this coming weekend and would like to watch a few of the SWS reviews. I'm not so interested in watching rw videos at this time. The comment that got my full attention was the comparison to an A2A model. Is the float model included in the purchase, just not completed yet? Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

I watched a couple of them earlier today. I also downloaded the PNG bush strips mega pack at flightsim.to in preparation for some serious bush flying in the Kodiak. Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . January 21, 20224 yr I am still really confused on the weight loading for the Kodiak. It would be great if they had their own loader rather than relying on MSFS default. If you update the weights in the W&B, do they actually stick even if you don't see the animations? I have never actually seen pax in the aircraft, just the FO. I have seen cargo, but only on some models. Mark CYYZ

January 21, 20224 yr Is it correct for the aircraft to feel super tail heavy when loaded up? Something with the W&B seems off when the aircraft is more than half full of fuel/cargo. The tail heaviness makes it very wallow-y in pitch and causes issues on takeoff (the aircraft wants to pitch waaaay up on the TO roll and can quickly go out of control and stall if you aren't ready for it). How much forward elevator trim did you put in and what is your CG? I typicall use plus 45 degrees on the trimwheel inficator for a reasonably loaded aircraft, can require more the further back the CG limit.
