December 19, 20214 yr Did anyone here upgraded from 55 inches to 65 inches, both 4k? I'd really like to have a larger display, right now I have a Samsung 55 inches, 4k. It's not bad at all but the bigger, the better. 55 inches 4k = 80 ppi 65 inches 4k = 67 ppi Is there a huge difference between the two? I mean the image quality ( larger pixels on the 65 inches ) I don't really care about websites, fonts, etc Any advices are welcome, thank you I9 12900k@ 5 GHz | 64 GB DDR5 | Asus Z790 | RTX 5090 | 8K Samsung Q900C 75" | VKB MK III PRO L | Virpil Throttle MONGOOST-50 | MFG Crosswind | TrackIR5

I mean the image quality ( larger pixels on the 65 inches ) I'd say yes there is a significant difference. 67ppi is just about acceptable, but it's a shame to go so low for a 4K screen. That's about the same as a 32" 1080p display, which is really on the edge of fuzzy. At 80ppi you're back in safe territory, I'd say. How far away do you plan to have the 65" from your head? Cheers, Rob. Listen to Rob's key question, and also Wim123's. Viewing distance. I'd recommend throwing out all other responses that do not state their viewing distance. At least until they come back with that. A photo or two would also give you a good deal of help as it would confirm the overall setup. December 19, 20214 yr FWIW I sit about 30" from my 65" 4K and have done so for years. First with 1080p and then 4k. I like physically looking right, left and up and down. It is wall mounted at exactly the correct height for a 737NG, so I am looking across the glare shield, out forward and looking down to the PFD/ND. There are also (slight) peripheral cues with this combination- it works for me. I'd love to go 8K but not without a few more years of GPU development (currently using a 3080Ti). Actually, I'm hoping that VR will eventually get to 4K at a reasonable price point, and then I'll probably be back to 27" 😉 YMMV C Edited December 19, 20214 yr by cavaricooper Best- Carl Avari-Cooper

That's why I asked, actually. 55 inches 4k has the same ppi as 32 inches full HD Hard to make a decision. December 19, 20214 yr If you want to really enhance your experience without chaning your screen, treat yourself with a head tracking system. It is a cheap solution.
