This is the BEST P3D version my system has ever run!

Full bore sim 737 approaches over major cities, and now the FPS just YAWNS...at all that's being flown over on Final Approach...simply amazing!

I am so impressed with what L.M. has done with this latest (fixed and tweaked) version...just amazed....and so extremely pleased!

Fully agree with Ses, P3Dv5.3 looks amazing. I use EA together with SkyForce 3D and I have actual weather with fantastic clouds and accurate weather.

Flying with top class planes (like PMDG, A2A, Aerosoft etc) into top class airports (like FlightBeam, FSDT, LVFR etc) in P3Dv5.3+ has never been such a pleasure in terms of smoothness, fabolous graphics etc.

And, P3Dv5.3 keeps my several thousand dollars invested in planes, airports and sceneries very alive!! 

Did you just uninstall and then reinstall the Client?

No Device-Hung errors then ?  Anyone on Win 11?

Not with the Registry fix I implemented a couple of months ago. I see no reason to remove it as nothing from Nvidia, LM or Microsoft to suggest they’ve fixed the problem. Still on W10 here.

I uninstalled all four components keeping the Client registry. I then used the full install to get HF1 plus light fix.

Not on my system.  No hanging and W10 with all latest updates.

So far so good  , making a debut flight from LFPG-EKCH in the FSL320-SL to test if they manage to nail down the stutter/freezes.

On the other hand i have noticed som AA issue with EA and ASP3D when moving the camera in Chaseplane. At first it looked a little MSFS`ish but not so grainy though. Anyone else experience this ?

This is NOT a 'dig' post...but in having so much fun now (and heightened interest once more ) in P3D, I realize that I could live without MSFS.  Sure I like it...but it is no longer the 'end all' of flight sims.  It's a another great sim...but, I am no longer fixated on it...just sayin'...  I could run this version of P3D indefinitely.  Just awesome performance... metrics and graphics...

This sounds too good to be true. Are you running generally on full graphics and getting a stable 30 FPS?

Im still on the fence waiting to update from the original 5.3

If you look towards the bottom of 1rst page...you will see what is behind my raving about this version! I have all my settings in the sim as well as what is in my nVidia mask and driver suite version. 🙂

My FPS on my ancient system are set to (in the nVidia Mask at 33 and in sim at 120, and while running with all my set-in-granite in sim settings, i get a fluctuating 27-33, but mostly 'hovers' around 32-33 FPS.

Guess it's time for me to update to 5.3 (was holding off until they hotfixed the bugs). At this moment in time it's p3d for IFR and the other for (normally short) VFR, IMHO neither can touch the other that way around.

Right...why not choose the sim that deliver's your flight expectation mandate. Right... 🙂   What I am so grateful for...is that finally, finally, I don't have to 'make do' with my P3D installation. It is bringing out now, every PENNY of every dollar, for all my P3D content investment....and no longer seeing it as a possible walk away,   We have a P3D sort of Renaissance  happening the last couple of days..LOL!

True, actually much better than losing the £1000's I have invested in P3D ....I wasn't even going to switch to v5 when I got FS - glad I did now to be honest.

 

.... just an aside - what really, really annoys me about the other sim is flying the UK and spotting all the airfields that have been closed. Pretty sure that in terms of "hard surface" at least there are more that have been closed than remain.
