Words can't describe the beauty of this unique place. It was a bit bloomin cold though 🙂 One hope for MSFS I have: I reckon (and I could be wrong of course) FSX and P3D tended to focus on customer location to work out which areas to make the most detailed. MSFS hopefully gives Microsoft some accurate feedback on where people are actually flying. Personally and as a VFR, slow and low player I have very little interest in flying at home. The UK is fairly dull for VFR IMO. I already know what the UK looks like so the omissions, mistakes and inconsistencies stand out like a sore thumb. My favourite places to fly are the Alps, PNG, Hymalayas and Northern Europe/Scandinavia. Hopefully MS are getting that. This addon really helped your area for me : https://flightsim.to/file/2605/we-love-vfr-region-1

Preferably with a huge set of comparison screenshots and a comprehensive video review but a simple post about your experience would do too. 😋 I installed the mesh, but TBH it's hardly worth the trouble. The difference is so very small. I suspect the MSFS default mesh is probably about 20M as opposed to the Taburet at 15. Anyway, here is a pic that compares the two... But indeed, the difference won't be noticable during flight, that's for sure. Pity.

I remember reading about double objects with this addon. Which is why I keep the amount of addons as limited as possible. Currently I only have the FBW and Kodiak: I leave the scenery entirely up to Asobo. No scenery addons for me. Not even airports indeed: MSFS offers enough by default to keep me entertained until years to come.

I'm sure some will disagree, but at best this is disingenuous IMO. I would have thought that if there is a third party product being sold as a replacement to a specific aspect of MSFS, then by it's very nature, it should be an improvement over the default(?) Otherwise, why should it be sold? Yes, there is a very, very small difference, but IMO it is almost indistinguishable. February 3, 20224 yr Author UPDATE ABOUT TABURET MESH.......... I have had to uninstall it as it was causing serious issues. For some reason it created nasty stutters, when I mean nasty, it almost resmbled stutters associated with some kind of hardware issue, as the stutters were combined with a crackle! Difficult to explain. Very odd. At first I couldn't see how a mesh could introduce such an issue, but I persevered and tried removing and then reintroudcing the mesh at least six or seven times and each time I flew with the mesh, I had the problem. Needless to say it now resides elsewhere. Not impressed. February 3, 20224 yr To reproduce the wild beauty of Norway and especially the cutting and depth of the fjords and requires a minimum mesh of 5m. Five feet would be ideal. February 3, 20224 yr Free 1m DEM data for Norway is available at hoydedata.no (Goverment site) But it requires that someone converts it to a usable format for the sim. Same format for the seabed is at dybdedata.no // 5800X3D // RTX 3090 // 64GB RAM // HP REVERB G2 //
