January 5, 20224 yr I am the proud owner of the Kodiak 100 and have watched numerous tutorial videos which have been very helpful. In some of these videos the camera 'moves' into the cabin/cargo area and the presenter demonstrates how you can open and close the cargo doors, add passengers and cargo etc. I have been trying to figure out as to how I could 'move' the camera into the cabin/cargo area. Initially, I though these might be the saved camera positions, but that is not the case. So, I tried the camera icon from the top menu, and if that is the answer, I could not figure it out. So, I need help as to how, I 'move' the camera into the cabin/cargo area, so that I can animate the opening and closing of the door etc. Thanks George Westwell
January 5, 20224 yr You should have some key bindings for movement, mine are bound to the arrow keys but I can’t remember if that’s a default setting or not. These will allow you to freely move about the cabin. January 5, 20224 yr You can add the cargo and or passengers by simply updating the Weight and balance loading. As you apply a weight value to each location within the cabin, the item will appear so as to represent the weight that you have applied. To open the cabin doors, simply position yourself in the cabin and click the handle to unlatch the door, then click the door itself to push the door open. Kerry W. January 5, 20224 yr Author Thanks - but my question is 'How do I position myself in the cabin?' - If I use my mouse, it will only go past the pilots seat George Westwell

What cabin doors, what aircraft are you talking about?

January 5, 20224 yr Author So, I am trying to narrow down my issue - I have used the drone camera externally with no issues - whenever I select the 'showcase' tab from the camera menu - it places me in an external camera view, which is fine. So, how do I get to be placed in an internal view? When I select the 'cockpit' tab - that places me in an internal camera view, but not as a drone camera. Summarising, I am now lead to believe that it is the drone camera that will allow me to move around the cockpit, cabin/cargo sections of the Kodiak. If this is the case, what do I need to do to both place and activate the drone camera internally? Edited January 5, 20224 yr by SquadronLeader George Westwell

Just steer the drone camera to the side of the aircraft, and go through the side and you are in the cabin. There should be a way to preset this view, but unfortunately their isn't, at least that I could find.
January 5, 20224 yr Author Thank you for all of your responses - Bobsk8 last response got me there - and now I am in the cabin/cargo area. Never realised that the drone could go through 'solids' George Westwell

January 5, 20224 yr The arrow keys are binded to move up, down, left and right in the cockpit by standard. You can also bind keys to move forward and backward. I binded them to ALT+key-up end ALT+key-down. Then you can also bind a camera to it. Edited January 5, 20224 yr by bvdboomen

Never realised that the drone could go through 'solids' Using the drone cam and go through the side of the plane is an odd thing to do imho. You should be able to simply use the arrow keys as described above a few times already: this gets you smoothly from the pilot position into the cabin, anywhere you want to, and pressing (the default) ctrl-alt will smoothly bring you back into the pilot seat. Far more realistic. No drone cam needed for this: using the drone here seems an immersion killer for me. 8 minutes ago, Bobsk8 said: Yeah, I tried to find a way to save that view and assign it to a button, but so far, no success. Probably because you are in drone mode. If you position yourself where you want to with the arrow keys you will be able to create and save views. Edited January 5, 20224 yr by tup61

Works as long as there’s no cockpit door (Ie the A320). January 5, 20224 yr Author WOW - thank you guys. A number of you mentioned using the arrow keys, which I tried and it did not work - so thanks to edpatino - who specified that I should use the ALT key with the numpad arrow keys. Now in my case, I have a logitech keyboard, and that has a separate set of arrow keys, which work with the ALT key - but do not work with the numpad arrow keys. So, in conclusion - and this is for my setup You have to use the mouse and the right hand button of the mouse, to select you angle of approach, which you can vary as you go In conjunction with the mouse, ALT key and arrows (not numpad arrows in my case) - I can get all the views I want/need. Thank you and a very Happy and Healthy New year George Westwell
