January 5, 20224 yr Are you sure you can't just move into the cargo area in Cockpit mode? Seems to me my arrow keys and ALT-arrow keys expand the Cockpit so I can go in there and literally take a seat. When you go there in Drone Camera mode, your position keeps changing while you are in flight.

I think you binded the move forward and backward to the ALT-arrow keys in the past. They are not set by default. I binded them last week to use them with the Kodiak to indeed open the back doors. But I learned here that the ALT+num keys also work.

I got rid of many of the key bindings, so maybe why the alt key does nothing for me. What is the alt key actually set to do in MSFS?

By default (I don't recall ever binding them) my arrow keys move left and right, up and down. If I add the ALT key they move left and right and forward and back.

You have to check if they're mapped in your keyboard, but as far as I can remember, it was the default on my both setups. I was pretty certain that someone from the Kodiak group said that the drone mode was the only way to get to the rear of the aircraft.
January 5, 20224 yr No need to use the drone camera. alt + arrow up, down, left, right does the trick. Position yourself where you want to be, then hit the ctrl + alt+1,2,3, etc. key to bind the key. Easy. Simple.

Arrow keys just pan around cockpit area, don't move to rear of aircraft/ I just asked on the Kodiak Discord channel, will report any suggestions they have. Edited January 5, 20224 yr by Bobsk8

ALT+"Arrows" work well for me. I also set new camera views to allow for easy opening/closing of each of the doors on the Kodiak and if some adjustment is needed (sometimes passengers get in the middle of my rear door views), ALT+"Arrows" do the job. Same here - there is no issue with moving the POV about the cabin the Arrows and ALT+Arrows. Custom views are easy to set up including external views as described in numerous YT videos for other aircraft - it is all the same process. January 6, 20224 yr OK, I figured it out tonight. I had made some keyboard assignment changes for the PMDG DC6.and deleted some other keyboard assignments, including the assignments for the Alt Keys. I went to the keyboard assignments in MSFS, and went from the DC6 Profile where I had made these changes, to the Default profile. Now it works, I can use Alt key and arrow keys to move to back of passenger compartment. 😃 Edited January 6, 20224 yr by Bobsk8
