FBW A320 stutter

Stutters were present during taxi to takeoff and also on final and touchdown on a default airport which should have been easy on fps

It's not the FBW A320NX no question--certainly was prior to this recent optimization.  I use GSX & FSLTL.  And the giant tipoff from your comment:  those prior hangs/pauses/stutters had nothing to do with low framerate even prior to this optimization frame rate was never an issue in and out of the most complex airports.

Yes fps was never the issue. It’s the fps spikes that cause stutter. Or smooth frame time is what we need to look at. Thing is I use gsx and fsltl with other planes too and don’t have these momentary fps drops. I understand this is a very difficult issue to track down.  Some have it , others don’t.

And it was YOU that stated this:  "and also on final and touchdown on a default airport which should have been easy on fps"

Again, I have mentioned this many times. Fps as a whole is high but sudden drops in fps happen with Fbw which give that jerky effect. If fps was consistently low then I can dial down my settings and manage. But if it’s at 50 and drops to 35 every minute or so then that induces jerkiness.

I was just ruling out destination airport as a probable cause since it was default airport. Some airports like Palm Springs have a 1000 animated wind turbines in the background which can cause all kinds of fps issues. So this was not the case with the default airport I had chosen.

I did the same flight as yesterday with the Dev. Version, much better and fluider as with the Exp.Version, to say not totally stutterfree had some thiny microstutters but thats OK for me.

So i think i stay with the Dev. Version for my next flights..

Sorry to burst your bubble but the stutters are still there. Much improved but still present  and noticeable on the ground. Exp version.

You're probably only bursting your bubble.   Not those who no longer get the stutters.  I had terrible stutters with the FBW.  With the fix, I have none, and even greater smoothness and FPS than with the PMDG737.    Perhaps it's a conflict or something wrong in your installation.

PS... Yes, I am using FSLTL (on quite optimistic settings, for my 1080Ti) and GSX.   With your high end GPU, if you're still seeing stutters, I'd venture to suggest there is something not right with some configuration or content in your installation.   The fact that the Fenix is easier on performance than the FBW suggests something is off, as the vast majority find the Fenix one of the tougher addons on resources.   For me, the Fenix is a 25 FPS stutter-fest, and the FBW is a smooth 50 FPS.

Might be better to just humbly ask for help, rather than silly talk about "bursting bubbles" and insinuating that the FBW volunteers are somehow failing you - for an addon that constitutes 1000s of hours of free work undertaken, to offer the community something significant.

Are you also using gsx fsltl aiflow and aiground? Maybe it’s one of those programs that don’t play well with Fbw.

No not using them

Flying at the moment the A320 Dev. Version ( newest ) and at climb to 15000 feet at around 12000 to 13000 feet i got another 8 to 12 sek. hold/stop/pause, what ever you may call this, it`s anoying..

I don`t know what other planes in my hanger do this, as far as i know none 🤔

It wasen`t like this back in older days more at the beginning..

In my case, after this changes the experience has been a huge change from stutters to a soft fly (Dev. Version).

So thanks again to the fantastic FBW team, and best regards for everybody !

Is this improvement only in Basic and Developer, or has it made it to Experimental also?

Ta!

Read the threat !

It's in DEV DEV DEV. 😁
Yeah, I know it's confusing, but we merged this in dev first (before exp).

And to make this discussion completely irrelevant, we merged it with experimental version today. So now it's in both. 😄
(and don't ask me what that 'both' version is)

There are def some issues still with the FBW.  I notice when I bring up the ATC window I get a distinct stutter when it opens which is very apparent during taxi where it's easier to see stutters versus at altitude, so I reported this on their discord channel.  Very nice improvement and room for more and they are working on this.  I really like this plane!!
