January 8, 20224 yr So everyone knows, if you rolled back to the 5.2 client due to the massive stuttering bug in P3D 5.3, HiFi confirmed the fixes in 8040 and 8042 will not be seen. The last stable build by HiFi, 7887, is the one I am stuck with until LM get their software issue sorted. Edited January 8, 20224 yr by B777ER Eric

Unlike some folks I'm not having any issues with stutters at EFHK. I just found out about 8042 so I haven't installed it but will. I have been flying P3d 10-12 hours a day since it was released without any issues. For me 5.3 has been the best P3d so far. 🙂 I Earned My Spurs in Vietnam

For me this is the best performing version of p3d thus far. Thanks for the heads up for the new AS version. To clarify, there are SOME changes that are targeted at 5.3 which obvious won't be seen in earlier versions. The visibility smoothing delay issue that some have been experiencing prior to 8040 are mainly specific to 5.3. There are other changes in the recent builds that pertain to all versions as well. To summarize, 5.3-specific changes and tuning are only available in 5.3 and not applicable to any earlier version. Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies

I believe there is a bit of confusion here related to different versions/builds and applicability. The 5.3 specific changes we made are only specific to 5.3. Other versions all have different interfaces. If you are using 5.2, you may miss some recent changes we made that are specific to 5.3 and can't work with 5.2 for several reasons. See changelog on our website for details. We always recommend the latest official build or open beta build if you'd like to participate in beta testing. Thanks. Latest flight had incredible depiction on both ends! The low Visibility at both ends was spot on and no instant transitions. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
