When does this plane come out? It's like a baby TBM 930! I love the cockpit.

Why "baby", is it actually smaller than a TBM?

Actually it depends how you look at it. Length wise yes due to TBM's long cowling. But seems like Kodiak works out at the gym 🙂

@sd_flyer I thought he was referring to the new Honda Jet as being smaller than a tbm, no?

Now I'm curious enough to check out the specs myself 🙂

*EDIT - checked it out and the jet is indeed larger than the tbm, although not by very much. It's also considerably heavier.

With a bit of luck, Gulfstream may change their minds with Bombardier allowing a product as comprehensive as this!

You might be thinking of General Dynamics - Gulfstream is their baby.  Bombardier owns the Challenger.

This aircraft is not a licensed bombardier product.

Ah, OK.  Is this developer taking a risk then in releasing the product?

Sorry my bad. I don’t know why I was thinking if Kodiak lol  In any case I got to explore inside Honda jet fee time. We used to have an event Jet Preview where different companies put their fleet on the ramp and let explore. So to me Honda was very small comparing to other corporate jets I have experienced. I think only Cirrus was smaller

It all depends on whether Bombardier decides that it's worth the time and money to go after the developer.

Since the Aerosoft CRJ and Majestic Q400 managed to come out without getting sued (although Bombardier no longer owns the rights to either design), I assume Bombardier has decided that they don't really care about flight simulator addons, but the risk is always there unless the developer has some kind of license or agreement from Bombardier.

Because Textron has signed license agreements with Asobo/Microsoft, I'd assume they're more likely to go after developers (which probably explains why Carenado never uses the word "Cessna" in their 182, 337, or 170 packages), but it seems like they're not terribly aggressive unless the Cessna trademark gets used without permission.

Any idea when the Honda Jet will be available?

The hope is sometime this 1st quarter per the dev on discord. As a tester, I can say it's very, very close. It's just a few remaining things to cross off, some debugging and a little spit & polish. Various liveries are now in the process of being created to be packaged with the release version. Developer just recently implemented a clickable checklist, which is welcome by many for immersion and accuracy.

Please include a Canadian livery or two. Thanks.

Your forum name is kinda cool/ in the 1970s i put maybe 50 hours on a tiger. Real fun machine. Did some time in the Cheetah but the extra power of the tiger really turned my crank.

Do you know if the dev is looking for any assistance in creating new liveries?
