Kodiac engine failure

Featured Replies

I have about 50 flights in on the Kodiac and just had an inflight engine failure. Fuel good, no warnings, anyone else?

Never heard of that happening. Might want to post on their discord channel.

How many hours since last overhaul were on it when you bought it ?  How many hours are you allowing between oil and filter changes?  Have you had an oil screen check every third or fourth oil change?

By any chance is Engine Stress Damage turned on under Assistance Options > Failure and Damage?

Al

Never had it. Sounds like a bug, not a simulated failure. Afaik the Kodiak doesn't simulate failures.

I did not think they simulate failures as well. Interesting landing in a field though...😁

Just in case, it might be worth checking to see if somehow a failure mode was turned on at World Map > Click on a/c > Failures.
