MSFS Server Problems

Featured Replies

Hey All,

Is anyone in the UK experiencing server problems?

First I got an error message saying MSFS couldn't validate my license.

Then I lost Azure Text to Speech ATC.

Then I got a message saying my bandwidth was too low and got switched to offline mode.

SpeedTest.net is reporting 105 Mbit/s.

No problems with my internet connection...

I'm pretty sure Microsoft is fighting off some pretty massive DDos attacks on their Azure servers. Someone posted a link yesterday from Tom's Hardware discussing this. I imagine that's probably what's to blame for the outage.

Yeah, good shout. That could be it.  I thought they would have some pretty advanced Web Application firewalls sitting in front of their Azure data centres

Business as usual for MS.

Could the server issue involve stuttering in the game? For the past few days I've had quite a bit of stuttering with the unexplained FBW cruising cloudless...

I saw that, but was not sure attacks were ongoing.

If so, its probably a no-brainer that people might find the system being a bit wonky.

I get Azure text-to-speech disconnects probably every fifth time I play. I also get "your connection is too slow for photogrammetry" (or whatever the exact error message is for that) once every couple weeks. I check on my home bandwidth every time that happens and it is always at least 100 mbps. So, it must be a server bottleneck.

Was getting bandwidth warning yesterday.

Working okay for me in Sweden, the ongoing storm was a challenge at ESGG with the Kodiak, I blew off the runway and almost tipping around after touchdown 🙂

Azure text to speech goes pretty regularly to me.  I also occasionally get the low bandwidth warning and my photogrammetry goes off.  On each occasion, I check my connection and it's fine.  It's been particularly bad over the last couple of days.
