Night enhancements from Dreamscenery

Featured Replies

Does anyone own these? Worth it, or overdone? 10 bucks a pop per US city, a little steep but I could pick up a few if there's a decent feedback on these.

$10/city = hard pass. I'd welcome none green roads, better streetlights, and easier to see PAPI lights on a global basis.

Same here...  where do you stop?  At $10 per city the cost would soon mount up.  I have freeware mods for my home city that also enhance night lighting, so this won't be of great importance to me.

MSFS default night lighting isn't as good as it was at launch (in my opinion), but it isn't bad enough to require any payware addons I don't think.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

If these were maybe per state, country, or region, (or even the world), I'd be more interested that just individual cities.

It's like LVFR who made the custom ground vehicles, but separated them into regions, instead of making one package for the whole world. ♻️

And that's OK. I did get all of those. I'd like to see the lights separated b regions as well.

worth noting the default lighting is actually more realistic. The enhanced lighting is more what you would expect to see in touched-up photos and is what most people would expect to see at night in the real world, but not actually see it like that. I had this effect happen to me on a fall foliage road trip this year. Staring out at the landscape I was kinda disappointed at the lack of color - then I went and used the iPhone tools to increase saturation and stuff and then it looked like how I had expected to see things.

Yeah, I think I'm going to pass. This is precisely what DD's Chicago Landmarks is. I lived there for 26 years and they definitely overdid it on saturation and coloring.

I was born raised in Chicago and it's not that colorful!

$10 a city?  What constitutes a city?  Los Angeles CA, sure.  San Bernardino, OK.  Gilroy CA, well it is the garlic capital of the world, so yeah.  But what about Hemet?  I mean, have you ever been to Hemet?  How could that be worth $10????!!!!!

I personally see no need for such an addon at this moment in time. The city lights are by far the best most realistic lighting we have ever seen in the history of MSFS.

  • 4 months later...

I paid for this product and I like it. I live in Los Angeles usually fly out of Long Beach and am a Private pilot. This product adds adds to my enjoyment of flying around Los Angeles at night. It's not realistic... In fact I think it's less realistic than the Asobo default... It satisfies my mindless need to fly around at night and look out the window. There's more colors... More detail... And generally more things to look at. If you're flying VFR in a small aircraft you might be able to use the enhanced but unrealistic features to help keep you from getting lost. If you like dead on accuracy... Which includes moments of not knowing where the f*** you are.. then you might not like this product.
