February 2, 20224 yr Not sure if it's just me but it looks like some optimization has been done to VR in WU7. Not to mention the outstanding work done on one of my favorite countries but the graininess and smoothness of the sim in VR seems to have improved. That being said more is needed but it looks like Asobo is improving VR as we go along. February 2, 20224 yr I doubt this as the Developers stated they'll keep World Updates separate from Sim Updates for the future. However, I can't say for sure as I am still experimenting with the excellent OpenXR Toolkit thus no way to directly compare before/after: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/openxr-toolkit-upscaling-world-scale-hand-tracking-release-thread/493924 Kind regards, Michael Intel i7-13700K / AsRock Z790 / Crucial 32 GB DDR 5 / ASUS RTX 4080OC 16GB / BeQuiet ATX 1000W / WD m.2 NVMe 2TB (System) / WD m.2 NVMe 4 TB (MSFS) / WD HDD 10 TB / XTOP+Saitek hardware panel / LG 34UM95 3440 x 1440 / HP Reverb 1 (2160x2160 per eye) / Win 11

The Longitude Dolphin Dance, oversize buildings/trees, screwed up night lighting, water climbing up mountains (when before the update wasn't an issue), etc. are just a few examples that come to mind. This slight VR upgrade which is nice could be another example of this. Asobo has never documented fully everything they've touched in the sim in any update they've ever released.🧐 Edited February 2, 20224 yr by Dillon FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR

FPS didn’t seem greater but it felt smoother in VR Varjo Aero, 5090 FE, i9-12900K, 64GB Ram, RX Viper Rudder Pedals, AuthentiKit Controls + Fulcrum Yoke

Thanks:!

Yes I did. It actually works and makes the cockpit larger, however an accompanying effect is the gauges becoming larger as well (expectedly) and I found these too large then. Thus, I reset it to 100% again for now. As you probably read, this is dependend on the IPD. I got my IPD from an optometrist (65,5 mm) and had it already set in the Windows WMR settings before. This value is correlated to 100% by the tool thus it should be "right". This was in the C152. I am still under the impression the seats are too small but settled with this for now. Certainly some room for more experimenting. Our P40 was build using 1:1 scale and it looks fine. Our Goose also was built on 1:1, but some objects are definetely off scale. I also use the IPD that my optometrist told me, and i also use VR Prescription Lenses from VR optician, so i dont have to wear glasses in the headset (i HIGHLY recommend them by the way). I might give that Toolkit a go then. Thanks!

In VR the clarity now comes a lot closer to what I'm seeing on my monitor. And you can use both algoritmes (NSI or FSR) no mather the brand of the GPU. I found the sharpening in FSR mode, although it is less apparent better because of less shimmering of fences etc. I hope the dev does expand on this with a Steam/Mixed Reality combo. Regards

Is there any way to scale this down with these tools?

My former ACER headset allowed my normal glasses but that's impossible under the Reverb. Very happy with them, too, Not to go too far off-topic, so that's my last sentence in that matter: I'd shout out a big thank you to the developers of the OpenXR toolkit, and there are exciting topics like color correction yet in the pipeline. February 2, 20224 yr My G2 headset just arrived today...I guess I got it at the perfect time. Can't wait to give VR a go later tonight!
