Now to something totally different:

Let there be droop!

You think a fully simulated hydraulic cargo door was a bit overkill? Thanks to that change, we have real time hydraulic simulation for every surface of the plane. Each actuator is physically modelled up to its own servo position control loop. See that right elevator coming alive before left one? That's because of the power transfer unit lag. Each actuator has its own hydraulic sealing characteristic, which will cause individual droop behaviour. More about this in an upcoming NOTAM.

It's great to see the progress and the level of systems modelling you're getting yourself into with the FBW team!

May I get side-tracked for one semi-offtopic question?

@Watsi I like to follow various developer profiles here on Avsim so that I get notification whenever they post something new. For some reason this option isn't shown in your profile, while for pretty much any other user it's there right next to the message button on the top of the profile page.

Would you mind trying to enable following you, I'd love to get notified about your posts! Or is this intentional for some reason?

I have no idea as to why that happens, I don't even know where to change this option...

I had some... 'models' following me (> fake/spam profiles) and that's why I deactivated it and would like to keep it deactivated. 🙂
But I tag all my announcement posts with 'flybywire' (and most with 'a32nx'). I think you can easily find everything by looking for those tags (e.g. https://www.avsim.com/tags/A32NX/)

Ahhh that makes sense! No problem, but it was worth a try 😉 I'll certainly watch out for your posts and will for sure be able to find them anyway!

@Watsi is always worth reading :). At this rate the FBW A230 is going to become a stunning piece of aviation art… she’s already the most viable jet transport available today.

That looks awesome! Is it integrated with the flight model yet? If not do we know when we'll get it to match the visuals?

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

We're in the process of integrating it with the flight model and fly-by-wire system. No ETA, but our initial tests with it are looking spectactular.

Please do not contact me via DM for support or help with the A32NX mod. We recommend using our help channel on our Discord.

Wait. You mean that once I click on „open cargo“ it takes a few seconds until the door opens and then it sort of swings once it is fully open? So you did that? Nice. Seldom do that but when I did it recently I thought by myself „that looks real“

Since this is the NOTAM section, anything new you would like us to know, FBW? Just asking since I found today another exp update which took much longer than usual to decompile when it loaded for the first time. Went on a quick hop from LGSK to ESSB, currently enroute FL380 and just wondering whether I miss something spectacular from you, guys (and gals?)

New sounds, Phil, a.o. Lots of hydraulic adjustments as well.
