We never give ETAs for anything, but VNAV is coming together well!

I agree ... to an extent. When Fenix announced i was wondering .. ok Why an A320 when we already have FBW. Then i realized

1 Fenix developers appear to be zealots (In a good way)

2 Their model is the CEO and being the purist that i am im looking forward to correct some livery model mismatch sins that i have committed 🙂 .

3. While fundamentally similar, the procedures for the CEO and Neo have variations and i want to learn them.

4. The Fenix will have to answer to people who purchase their product While Everyone is at the mercy of FBW and they work at their own pace. (They run their operation better than most for profit developers though!)

Good points, for sure. For me, those aren't really enough to not continue to wait and see how far the FBW comes along. We still have no idea when the Fenix will be released and with this new NOTAM about VNAV and other options, it seems like a pretty good viable option...for free.

I really enjoy using the FBW, and I used the FSLabs in Prepar3D and loved the aircraft but moved on from that platform, and I'm looking forward to the Fenix rendition of the A320. FBW provides a handy EFB with tools to calculate and assist with the descent and if executed right, the process is seamles. I commend the team for putting the focus on the FMGS and VNAV. The following is an interesting video by 320 Sim Pilot, a real A320 pilot.

TCAS! Vital System Explained

What I find interesting is how FBW implemented the simulation and 320 Sim Pilot explains and demostrates very well on how important it is to disengage the flight director, and how the autothrust system is implemente with the different laws. It just shows me that there's true "simulation" being added and developed. And it is all freeware and done with a very profesional tone and manner. 

Decoupled MCDU's and VNAV! I have been waiting for those 2 features. I can't wait until they are finally released. Thanks FBW team for your hard work and dedication!

From what I understand the TOD marker is just a guide based on a 3 degree descent angle/speed? Depending on the wind I am finding that I need to start the descent well before the marker.

so that's the reason why you took it out again in the lastest exp mod as of today ? 😞 

I miss the GW display increasing when the pax are loading. Saved me from switching to the AOC W/B page to verify we are loaded,

I've abandoned a 5€ FS98 "setup" in 2005, 300€ worth of FS2004 Add-Ons in 2011, 500€ of Add-Ons for FSX in 2015 and I've abandoned probably even a little more last year when switching from P3D V4 to MSFS and I have never gregretted it. 😉😄

 

Why should people keep old stuff when there's something equally good for free (don't forget to donate), just because they've spent some money for it?
Reminds me of my granny: she really wanted to sell her never used bicycle for 400€ via this "internet" just because she spent a fortune on it back when every european country had it's own currency and EUR wasn't event a thing back then 😅

We did that intentionally. IRL the GW comes to life when the engines are running.

FS Labs 80$.? Maybe for sharklets. Try 150$ for the base A320

I didn´t get the sharklets, stopped after getting the A320-19-21 package. I was not going to spend more money on P3D.

Don´t get me wrong, I still fly them weekly, but I also enjoyed the FBW version on MSFS...
