Yes.  But I'm rather annoyed with MSFS.  Wish I could find some real thick soup IMC and have the sim properly re-create this to *really* test it though.  I mean using live weather, not a preset.  Maybe with the next SU.  Hope springs eternal.

You probably didn't look hard enough. Here is KPDX with live weather some time ago.

Interesting.  I haven't seen that in months in MSFS.

I'd try this.

I can't tell for the whole world but in my local area MSFS live weather fairly accurate

The add-on is still not useable for me. I was waiting for an FDE update but the plane is very “jerky” on the vertical axis. In level flight you can see those jerky moves up and down, almost as if the planes freezes for a moment and then resumes at a different angle. It’s been like this since release and the developer acknowledged the issue and pretty much said that’s what it is for now.

it’s a great add-on, especially with the TDS GTNXi integration but in terms of flying not so much

I watched 'Into the Blue' take the MB339 around the Mach loop last night on YouTube, and this demonstrated exactly the same thing.
It annoys me, as the aircraft seem to behave completely unnaturally without any momentum.

I don't know if it is an MSFS thing or a camera thing, but I do see the jiggling about from inside the JF Arrows, and it doesn't seem natural.
I am not saying they shouldn't respond to air currents / turbulence of course, but it is instantaneous movement, it just seems like the weight / inertia physics are out of whack.

PS.  Not picking on the Arrows by the way - I like them - and a lot of aircraft exhibit this to some degree, it just seems more noticeable in the ones I have mentioned for some reason.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Now updated again as follows -

Arrow - v0.10.3 (24/2/22)

  • Heading bug control assignments fixed
  • Elevator trim speed reduced for finer control (speed reduced further if electric trim button is off)

Turbo Arrow - v0.5.3 (24/2/22)

  • Heading bug control assignments fixed
  • Elevator trim speed reduced for finer control (speed reduced further if electric trim button is off)

Warrior - v0.3.3 (24/2/22)

  • Elevator trim speed reduced for finer control

The plane is a real piece of word not allowed, as far as vertical stability. If I were flying it in real life I would be calling Mayday, Mayday, Mayday, and head for the nearest airport.  Set a climb  trim speed at say 1000 fpm, and the VS varies from 50 fpm to 1500 fpm like a roller coaster up and down. I think I will just uninstall it from my PC. Worst add on aircraft I have purchased, by far.

You do realise that 1000fpm is outside the limits for this aircraft, so what you're probably seeing is the speed bleeding off, the nose dropping, speed building up again etc?

Before writing this, I just took it up to check it against the ODM data - max AUW, 10 degrees, 6000ft clean and I sat trimmed at 90kts with a constant 500fpm roc.

Just launched a flight with this "aircraft".  Set climb speed at 100 knots and trimmed it at that ,VS oscillated between 500 FPM and 1300 FPM, with about 6 seconds from one VS to the next.  I have had different issues with this aircraft since they day I bought it, but in tickets with JF, got tired of waiting for the fixes, some of which never came, and this is the final straw, Got too many good flying aircraft too and am not going to waste another five minutes with this Arrow.

Had exactly zero problems with the JF products  (Both my FFB2 and Fulcrum yoke work fine).  Though you can get pilot induced oscillations if you try hard enough (usually by "flying with trim" ) do you have any other controllers that might be interfering.

That's a shame, because your experience appears to be very much in the minority. If you decide to give it another go ever, get in touch on the JF forum and we'll do our best to get you up and running.

This aircraft is garbage. Every aircraft I fly in MSFS 2020 flies great, no problems, no trim issues, all behave normally except the Arrow. If setting your climb speed, trimming away control pressure to keep that speed, and the a roller coaster ride starts, that is not "flying with trim" Been flying in real life and with sims too long for that.  From the first day I bought  the Arrow, I was disappointed, and I have left it in the hangar for months. Decided to drag it out one more time after reading about the "updates" that have been recently released, and still it isn't right.
