March 15, 20224 yr RTX 3090 price fell 900 €/$ in the last 3 months, I expect another 400-500 decrease, and further until original MSRP or below in another 6 month from now as we await the 600-800 watt RTX 4090 monster in september, something to keep in mind just in case anybody was planning to also get a new PSU. 😊 Edited March 15, 20224 yr by turbomax AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.

I'd definitely go lighter and cheaper on the GPU and wait for prices to drop, potentially towards the end of 2022, not sooner. I really think overpaying for GPU's as is today is total madness, unless you're well off on cash and seriously don't care. Jacek G. March 16, 20224 yr Author Yeap I agree over priced Ill will see if friend is going to sell the3080 10g and get that Thanks everybody
March 16, 20224 yr I would hold my cards until the DLSS patch for MSFS happens later this year and then decide, because who can know the future? 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
March 16, 20224 yr EVGA had 3080Ti cards for not much more than that in stock for awhile today. I wouldn't pay that for a 3800 at this point - prices are finally coming down and cards are becoming (a little) more available. If you can wait even a month or so, you'll probably be able to get one as good or better for what your friend wants for his used card. Xbox refers to Microsoft's gaming platform, not just consoles, so don't worry. When you go to install, open up the Xbox app, go to your profile (top right of the app and click on General. There, you can change the location for installation. You also must tick the box "Ask me for install options on every install". You might find a problem when you try that - a message might tell you it can't change the directory to F (or anything other than C). This is a Windows issue where it doesn't allow a program to install a program in a folder with the same name as one on your C drive. If so, just create a new folder in F (Games, MSFS, MSFS2020, whatever you like) and you should be alright. March 19, 20224 yr In Aus, prices for some models of 3080 are as low or lower than 2020 pricing when released https://www.umart.com.au/product/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-3080-eagle-10g-oc-lhr-graphics-card-rev-2-0-62427?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6I3KqY7S9gIVTTsrCh1vIgJJEAQYASABEgJwmfD_BwE 3090 is getting down to 2020 pricing too. $2450 was the cheapest I saw back then https://www.mwave.com.au/product/asus-geforce-rtx-3090-tuf-gaming-24gb-video-card-ac38088?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1L-J6Y7S9gIVs51LBR1DJATxEAQYAyABEgKnEfD_BwE Edited March 19, 20224 yr by dogmanbird
March 19, 20224 yr @wan2fly99 Price sounds too high, and don't expect too much gains on the fps front either. I just upgraded to a 3080 rtx (had a 1080 gtx previously) and only paid $1150 + local tax for the 10GB version from Newegg. FPS wise in MSFS I only gained about 20%...so not much...but what it really does is allow me to turn all the graphics settings up now without fps loss. Other more gpu dependent games, like COD for example, my rates at least doubled or more to over 200fps and rocket league to over 400 fps, lol. But to be perfectly honest in games like that I didn't need any gains to begin with. I bought the card mostly due to wanting to play in VR as a 1080 just didn't have enough horsepower to do me justice in VR. The 2 extra GB, as of today, will not get you much benefit to be worth an extra $900, lol. Not at all worth that extra expense. Just go win a new one on the newegg shuffle as I did. It only takes a month or so if you play every day. but be sure to enter only for the bundles you're actually willing to buy, otherwise you'll be wasting time. In my case, for example, I won on a bundle that contained a new SSD nvme drive and since I needed more space for MSFS I now have the sims (Xplane included) on their own 1TB drive. March 19, 20224 yr If your friend has not sold it by now he will not get what he wants for it, in the UK prices are dropping fast some now around MSRP, and may drop even more now the news of the next GPU`s are out some will what. Raymond Fry.
