including at least a given set on wear and tear.

For me, I'd go the other way.  I was just watching this video and admiring how well it was maintained.  I'd love to have a plane more like this...

Coincidentally I just opened the same video 🙂 Cockpit wear and tear is a personal choice I was referring to engine and hardware wear and tear for the most part. I'm pretty sure the cockpit wear and tear can be achieved with texture paints down the road or liveries that includes interior. Engine and other hardware wear and tear thus maintenance will require implementation from the developer.

Question.  When updates are released, how will we be notified?  Nevermind,  I checked the flysimware website and see a notice that a patch will be released in "like 2 days".

Exactly I was referring to the same. What if I hold manifold pressure over max for too long... Temps, otherwise the cowl flaps make no sense if they have no impact, either on temps nor speed... Oil level and change... idling the engine for too long on low rpm... spark plugs... that kind of stuff... The 414 is pressurized... what about if you don't do it properly... hypoxia...

Regarding the excessive fuel burn- I was expecting 18-20gph and I've confirmed with RAM performance data where it should be.

Currently it's about double where it should be as noted by other pilots posting here.

Also noticed shimmering / snow on the co-pilots compass. It's worse than this photo when you first glance at it then it diminishes.

Here is my YouTube video's that shows all the bugs that hopefully gets fixed before release?

Bug list:

01) Side windows open when locked with EFB in view or not.

02) Rudder tail animation does not show when the plane is stationary, only moves when in motion.

03) Prop feather mode is buggy

04) Main door in VR opens but shows it open very briefly in external view and stays closed

05) Main door closed when you move plane forward and once that happend you can't close it at all, same in VR.

06) Livery paint jobs lines are all too poor, and jaggy.

03: Is an issue with your controller. Feathering works properly with my humble CH Quadrant which has a button at the minimum travel end. This I assigned to Prop Pitch Decrease and added 'continue while pressed. FSUIPC of course.

06: Couldn't agree more! Those pin lines on the engines make my eyes hurt!

Other than that I'd make allowances as it's a beta.

The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

For those reporting the aircrafts handling as over-sensitive, here are my joystick setting if it helps someone.

The aircraft handles like I think it should at these settings, it's very stable and not sensitive in any control axis.

It's feels like I think a 414 should in a simulator.

Would also like to request high gloss liveries without the oxidized / worn look along with cleaning the windshield that I understand is part of the 3D model.

I'm good with the interior as I think it's excellent, would just like some liveries that make it look like it just came out of the paint shop.

Overall, I'm loving the 414!

Exactly what I tried to say. Having popping circuit breakers will not do anything if they are not tied to failures that you need to resolve during pre-flight. PMDG's DC-6 has random failures that uses this logic and you'll have certain systems malfunction if you don't do your pre-flight correctly. This is what I am expecting to see in the future of Cessna 414 AW

I think the fuel burn was identified as a simple copy and paste error during coding the engines.cfg. It simply doubles the amount for both engines instead of dividing by 2. There was a comment stating changing the value to 0.75 from 1.5 was bringing the fuel burn on par with the perf table

It was me and I assume it was a simple error like this but still needs to be confirmed.

I'm glad Carenado dropped their prices - they were asking far too much.  Yeah I spent 35 for the Mooney and Seneca.  I also paid 45 or 50 for the Turbo Arrow.  This plane easily beats all of those in terms of feature set - and it's still in beta.

I don't know what time zone you're in the the dev is furiously fixing stuff - the tend to stream around zulu + 1

Do you have a link to developers stream? I wasn't able to find anything on their website, wondering where to find the link to the stream. there's nothing on their discord as well.

I might be mixing terms...but he streams his screen on the FSW discord channel usually at least once a day fixing issues.

Ah I see, didn't see anything on their discord yet or maybe I missed. Time zone difference 🙂 Thanks though!
