I just bought both the TDS GTNXi and the Chancellor. First impressions are very good. Im having trouble with the GTN, though. They're both there, but the screens are both black. The trainer will open in a separate window and locate the plane at the correct location, but I can't get the displays to fire up in VC. Where can I choose which GPS is on the panel, because I know there's other options and how can I get the GTN's to both display in the VC? Many thanks!

You need to pick the LIVERY titled " TDS GTNXi"

They are working on some of these problems.  Right now I have to have the standalone version running when I load the sim and that version will disappear and they work in the aircraft.  There has been a few times when I had to cycle the avionics master to get the GTN's to come on.  I also have to disable my virus program (AVG) or the GTN's will freeze after a while.

That's odd. I would try restarting the sim if you haven't already tried that. If that doesn't work, I'd try reinstalling the TDS GTN and if necessary, the C414. I have never had, or seen reported, the "black screen" problem you are having, but it could be I've just been lucky.

Had that problem. Are the PMS and GTNxi gauges in your Community folder?

I'm not having any problem with the loading of the TDS units, BUT I only have the TDS unit in my community folder.

If you have the PMS in there you might move its folder when you want to fly the TDS

The TDS will be black/blank screen if you do not have the TDS helper app running.  My sequence is, start sim, then load the TDS app.  Then I can do my preflight/powerup of the units.

That should not be required.. I have both and can use them interchangeably..

What is the TDS helper app -- have not heard of that although I am using the TDS GTNs in the C414.

It's the TDS program you run in the background, you install the TDS, and there it is on your desktop.  I know this, if I don't run it, my TDS's will not turn on in the C414.

If you look in the systems tray at the bottom of the screen you will see the app.

You can open it and change settings..

Ok -- well in that case he must be having some issue with the TDS unit, or else he's not starting the TDS from the desktop icon.

It should start up with MSFS.. mine does.

Thanks for these tips. I'll give it a look when I'm home from work. One other thing Im having trouble figuring out, and I didn't see it in any of the documentation, is where you tell the Challenger which avionics package you want.
