Trying to figure out why I am getting an update - last MSFS session included a normal shutdown, but when i started it today it asked to confirm assistance settingS, and offered a mandatory 7 GB+ update. Unfortunately it includes a huge update for LSZH which I had uninstalled, and all the Aviator club liveries which I had uninstalled. Can't wait to see the mess it has left for me after this update. Well, the mess is that ALL my settings seem to have magically disappeared and had to be reset - however my pilot log is still there.

I uninstalled just about everything in the default MSFS except the C 172. Saved a ton of space on my SSD. Hope they won't want to reinstall all the junk I never use.

same here - wondering why i must install lessons or adventures if i don't want those.

Prior installation there should be a menu with items left to ur choice

The store version update is actually mentioned in the Book of Revelation. It's called "The Great Tribulation."

How did you strip out all the word not allowed and doesn't it want to update when you start?

Bob, it could be the folks above are missing your sarcasm 😂

Figured it out, went to marketplace, go to content manager lower left corner, go to installed upper left corner, Delete all. Ended up with only 85 GB in the Offical/Onestore folder and now there is no flight training, activities and discovery flights. Only aircraft I have left are Pitts special, Cessna Skyhawk taildragger, Daher TBM 930 and Cessna 152.  I'm sure there is away to add more aircraft if you want. I also saved everything from the onestore folder 168 GB at this time to another HDD in case I want to restore everything or pull a folder from it.

Nope, have had a dozen flights since I did  this with no problems. 

Same thing here, no problems after debloating.

I did this first with those additional sets of "words not allowed" Asobo liveries and followed that with removing aircraft models I would never choose to fly.  With early SU's, perhaps through summer of '21, they came back with the update(s).  But since then they have "shhhh! don't say anything, not even one word" not shown back up as installed.  Only there waiting patiently for me to reinstall....  (Hope they don't stay up at night waiting)!

I have the Store version and the last three updates have been confined to within the sim. No being redirected to a trip round the houses. All very civilised

Those first liveries (aviator) were most welcome. After the newness of them wore off, most people deleted them.  But the reason they were most welcome was they showed everyone how to make liveries for the MSFS encrypted planes.
