Connection lost messages

Featured Replies

Anyone getting connection lost messages popping up on the screen this morning every couple of minutes, and then a few seconds later, reconnected?

Yup, they have been happening for the last couple of weeks.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung  NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

Oh my gosh, yes. Since SU9 for me. Happens almost all the time.

I have had about 25 of them at least, on a one hour flight.. I am going to restart PC after I land.

I have not used the Google Maps mod ever and this totally fixed the disconnection issue for me.

Well this is weird. When I had this problem this morning I was flying in Ireland.  I then rebooted the PC, did a flight in the UD and one in Costa Rica, no problems at all. I just started a flight in Ireland again, and same exact problem. I wonder if this has to do where you are flying, and the scenery that streams from that area?

I doubt if its the Google Map mod as I have used that since it was released, but I'm not seeing these disconnection messages.

the 'fix' in the video is just a stock 'hosts' file that reverts a modifed hosts file that the Google streaming mod uses to trick the sim into downloading Google's imagery... it has absolutely nothing to do with the random online services disconnects people are getting. it is purely coincidental that your disconnections stopped if you never tried the Google mod.

I don't have any google maps or mods, just stock Bing. I had this message popping up every 3 minutes or so on a 1 1/4 flight over Ireland. Going back to the US now.

if your error messages go away it is on the Microsoft side. if you downloaded that 'fix' from the video linked you literally just copied the same file over itself.
