May 10, 20224 yr I wasn't able to get my PMDG 737 until this morning (yeah, I had to wake up early and do it before the rest of you yahoos got out of bed) and after getting it installed I was about to launch MSFS for the first time when I had second thoughts. I was going to launch with her sitting at Flytampa's KLAS since it would be close to dawn there and I love the lighting in MSFS at that time of day. I decided to wait. I want to do this right. I've got a brand new bird and I want to "drive her off the showroom floor", so I am going to get Drzewiecki's Renton. After trying to spell Drzewiecki correctly for about 10 minutes, I was finally able to get Google to figure out what I was looking for. 😁 It appears as though I have 3 choices: Aerosoft whom I have never bought anything from, and have no account with Simmarket where I've had an account since 2015, and have made 3 purchases - the last being in April, 2020 Justflight, where I have an account, but have only "purchased" one freeware product. Are there any significant differences or advantages between Simmarket and Justflight from and ease of purchase, downloading, and updates perspective? I think I've heard rumors about one of them implementing some kind of marketplace / installer that folks weren't thrilled with? I'm just trying to avoid hassles with re-installs or updates later on down the road, so I want to pick the easiest one to work with. THEN, I can fly her from Renton to somewhere close by for fuel, and then to Vegas (or can I just load enough fuel to get out of Renton, and straight to Vegas without a stop?), and finally on her way home to her new SWA hub in Baltimore. i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440
May 10, 20224 yr You have a fourth choice: Buying it from Orbx Direct. I always prefer Orbx Direct because it makes it very easy to update your products. And it is even on sale at the moment: https://orbxdirect.com/product/drzewiecki-krnt-msfs Greetings Tim My files on Flightsim.to i5 12600K | 32Gb | RTX 4080

May 10, 20224 yr Orbx, but be warned the airport is a FPS hog. Make sure to set LOD to 100 and all is good. To tell the truth I wish I had not bothered. Edited May 10, 20224 yr by Nyxx David Murden. May 10, 20224 yr Author Thank you very much, guys. I'll do that and get it from there. David - I'm sure it's going to bring this system to it's knees... I mean it's a cool airport if you fly in and out of it a lot, or if you want to fly to Seattle to leave your 737 for some major maintenance and GA in the area, as it's really nice in the PNW for low and slow. May 10, 20224 yr Author Well, it's only $21. I messed up my back last Friday so I stayed home all weekend, I still had $21 "beer money" burning a hole in my pocket anyway. As a side note. It was Simmarket that hd the new installer. I downloaded and installed it. I don't see any problems with it. I saw my prior purchases, and even tested it by downloading a copy of KMCO that I bought way back in 2015, So... Simmarket seems like a decent alternative. May 10, 20224 yr There is also a KRNT freeware (https://flightsim.to/file/5169/renton-municipal-airport-renton-wa-usa-krnt) with good ratings. Windows 11 Pro - Ryzen 3 5900X - nVidia RTX 4090 - 32GB DDR4-3600 === Microsoft Flight Simulator

Simmarket seems to be ok for ease-of-reintall. I simply go to my downloads and there they all are. I have Drze KRNT. It did hit the frames pretty hard, but it wasn't to the point that I regretted the purchase. I figure if I'm going to fly a BBJ or something like that it would be neat to have a detailed KRNT. Also I'm guessing that this Drze one has a lot of "easter eggs" like the production line of the 737's in it. $21 is like beer money, and I don't need the beer. Although a beer sounds good right about now, I may have one this evening. p.s. I hope your back gets better. I messed mine up doing plumbing work at my house a couple of years ago and since then I am super-careful about it...stretching out etc. anytime I'm lifting anything or even bending down -- and so far so good after about 5-6 years. The whole point of the Drzewiecki version is NOT to get the airport. It is to get the Boeing factory. I bought it, and have installed it. I committed blasphemy and started up with the FBW sitting at the "gate" amongst all of those 737s (and right next to the static PMDG) so I could look around in drone view. I'm still working, so I'm waiting until after I get done and have time to do the maiden flight out of Renton this evening. Surprisingly, the frame rate isn't too bad on my system. At least not flying in drone mode. I have no idea what the FPS are. I never look at that unless I am debugging a problem. I'll let you know if that changes on the flight out. May 11, 20224 yr Author She's HOME! Sitting at gate C13 after a beautiful flight from Denver. I actually started the return flight earlier this morning. I got her up to FL390 and was letting Otto fly a big chunk of the 1200+ mile trip while I was earning some cash for the fuel bill (don't tell Otto, but the boat is getting the entire fuel budget for the next 5 months). While I was getting a fresh cup of coffee, there was some commotion out in front of my house that caught the interest of my 2 cats. They jumped up on, and ran across my desk to the window behind my monitor to check it out. I came back in the room and started reading a work email when I looked up and saw "CWS R" in yellow on the captain's display and noticed that the plane was off track to the left a bit. I have no idea what I did, but I clicked something on the MCP (I was trying to hit the LNAV button). My phone rang from one of my customer's numbers, so I reached over and turned the computer sound off and answered the phone. A few seconds later, I saw the bottom of the airplane - from above it. She started a death spiral and I couldn't try to rectify it because of the call, so I ended the flight. I just couldn't let her die such an early death. 😥 But the AFTER work flight was beautiful. I think I'm going to take her to Tampa tonight. I love that flight. I am really glad that I got KRNT. The whole visit the factory and then fly one home thing was a lot of fun. The only thing missing was having a BBQ under the wing on the overnight in Denver. Might need to land on an abandoned drag strip on the next delivery flight so I can make that happen. I think that I am going to do the same thing for every new airframe that I add to Simbrief. Pick it up at the factory and fly it to that airlines nearest major hub. Well worth the beer money. I just wanted to toss in a comment about the whole 700 vs 800 debate. I had never flown a 700 in a sim before these last 2 flights. It was always 800s with the occasional 900 United flight for giggles. Aside from the minor differences in the way that it feels, the overall experience is the same. A lot of fun. The 700 feels as said previously, "sportier". I was playing with the rudder a little while hand flying it, and it seemed like I could tell that there was a shorter distance between the rudder and the CG. I am really looking forward to flying the 800 to see if the longer moment of inertia and weight increase impacts how it feels. If everything works properly, it should. I have no problem flying the 700 for the next couple of weeks or months. Oh... FBW guys... If you're listening... I still love you. Just gonna be out of town for a bit. There are plenty of airbus routes to fly. I'll be good. I swear. i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440

I know that is not in the freeware product but it is good to see the airport.
May 13, 20224 yr I purchased KRNT at the Orbx Central site a few hours ago and am disappointed that I can't find the User Manual. Heck, I am still looking for an empty aircraft parking spot. It would be nice to have a diagram or list of statics at the airport. Any ideas on where to look for a KRNT user guide? Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
