I started up MSFS and it told me I had to install and update, which I did. After it installed, I see the version number is still  1.25.9.0   Now I try to install the USA update, and it tells me I have to update MSFS to the latest version, so I am stuck, because the original update has already run and I can't re-run it.  

Are you using the MS Store version? and if so, did you first download the 300 odd mb download from the store? Then once you launch MSFS it should kick into the main update.

My store version just automatically started the update when I first started the sim. No need to go to the store first. Pleaseantly surprised by that.
Too bad it didn't work for Bobsk8. Hopefully starting Xbox app or MS Store will trigger the sim to function.

My update went a little different this time. When I double clicked the MSFS icon, the small 390 mb update downloaded automatically (nice!) and then proceeded to boot up to the update screen where I downloaded the 2.36 GB. Easiest update yet.

I downloaded a small update when I first started MSFS, I think around 600MB... Then I started MSFS, I got some new splash screens, I did a flight, after the flight I was going to download the USA update, and it tells me I have a version that has to be updated.   I went to the store, and there are no updates listed for MSFS..

Did you check the content manager Bob? i had a few downloads in there to complete.

Hi Bob,

I had around 70 file updates in the Content manager, and also you have to go to the market place to purchase the free World update.

I had to go through 3 reboots with this update and also delete and reload the Nordics update as the sim crashed part way through updating it and corrupted it and would not fully re-install, without deleting and rebooting.

This is the first time I had issues updating with any world update (Steam Version), but here we are 3 hours later and it has finally completed, so no time to fly tonight but is ready to go.

No matter where I go, content manager or market Place World  update, it tells me  I need Version 1.26.5.0    No way to update it, so I am stuck on 1.25.9.0   . Looks like I can't  update the US... Nuts.....

You want to figure this out its worth it - I have Steam so I cant help you - good luck

Try the repair install Bob - see if that resets the counters.

I fixed it.. I went to the X Box APP, and it said that one of the downloads was stuck to MSFS.. I hit redownload, and it ran for about 10 seconds, and now I am updated to latest MS version, and now the WUX install is running....Whew!! It is installing 2.6 GB.. Is that the WUX scenery content?

After that you need to go to the Marketplace and download WU X, if you didn't yet.
