Is there autosave feature coming?

Featured Replies

My sim is crashing lately, sometimes even without any error message in the event viewer. Is there meanwhile a solution as a autosave feature for this with a second dev? Has Asobo talked about a plan to implet it? What's about Fenix? I think they said back than, that it would be possible. Have they made sure plans about it?

A crash would be much less annoying which such a feature. If I had the programming skills I would write I code myself, but that not given.

Volanta Premium has an autosave feature that works with addon aircrafts. I tested it with the PMDG 737 and it works great. I don't have the Fenix so far, i.e. I can't try it with the Fenix.

There is also paid version of FSUIPC which also has autosave function. Working with PMDG 737 and MD-82. Do not work however with Fenix A320 and BAE 146

FSUIPC has this feature, works great. You can set it to save your flight in any interval you desire to. Or you can set it to save the flight pressing only one keyboard button or controller button if you wish so.

WAMA by Lorby also has auto save feature and a bunch of other cool features too.

Autosave can be useful, but previous expéiences of this feature had a habit if inducing stutters during disk access.  It would be nice if a stutter free version could be implemented though.

Has anyone got a link to info on how to save using FSUIPC and single key press?  All the info I've found is about Autosave, which I'd prefer to avoid (in case of stutters at a critical moment)

Rob, in "Key Assignments", set a key and look for "Trigger Auto-save". Every time you press that key it will save your flight (and all necessary extra files for the 737-700 in my case). I have it this way too, don't like the unexpected stutter when it triggers the auto-save function. Another thing, if you wish to have only one saved file and to have it overwritten each time you save your flight, you must go to auto-save (don't click check to enable auto-save) and set "how many to keep" to 1.

So does FSUIPC single-key press work with the Fenix A320 ?

I don't know why it shouldn't, but can't tell you as I don't have that bird.

System tray icon, right mouse button, Key Presses..., there you will find yourself in Key Assignments (name of that windows)

Don't know the non registered version, don't think you can access those menus with the free version
