August 24, 20223 yr Well it is basically a steam gauge cockpit makeover. The exterior is identical and I beleive the FM and engine performance are not that different from the slightly shonky default Caravan. The steam cockpit itself is very nice though and potentially worth the money for me, as generally I prefer steam gauges in game. Personally I cannot afford to own an aircraft myself and most renters around my neck of the woods are still steam gauge. ( also my real world flying is now limited to Recreational Aircraft for medical reasons, which are even more likely to be steam gauge) . The only advantage I personally see in Glass is you can switch it off and force yourself to fly while looking outside 😄 Yes, the new Caravan in real life does have a G1000NXI, but that is a $US2 Million dollar airplane and even if I still had a PPL medical and the appropriate type rating, no one is ever going to let me fly one 😄 Edited August 24, 20223 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick

I'll try to be a bit more gentle with the engine then. After I buy a new virtual engine lol. I guess the bush flying got a tad rough yesterday. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

I like my glass cockpit aircraft, but with the analog Caravan I choose the analog layout, even though I have the option of using it with the TDS GTNXi. If I want the glass experience, I choose the Kodiak 😉 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
August 30, 20223 yr Author Other Kodiak fliers... where is Ryan getting these Vr and Vref speeds from? I can't seem to find them in the POH, but maybe I've overlooked it?

August 30, 20223 yr Milviz is proving to me that they are still very much stuck in the old school of development. MFS needs the developers to give continuous maintenance to their addon, I have the pc6 and 310 and I don't think I will buy anything from them in the future.

The C 310 is the best GA aircraft in MSFS.
August 30, 20223 yr The Ryan chart is not in the POH. It seems to be an extrapolation of the Vs versus weight chart (that is in the POH) adding 15% or so to Vs for any given weight for an estimation of Vr and adding 30% for the approach speed (filling in any gaps in the weight range). Depending on your personal joystick/yoke and sensitivity settings you may need to add another 5 knots to Ryan's real world chart as some people in game get accelerated stalls on takeoff. Do you know if the tablet apps that Ryan uses are available for us to use? I’ve seen him with an app for weights, temps, etc for takeoff parameters. and another with the air strip approaches.
