What do you miss from FS9...

Featured Replies

>I miss the lack of complainersNope, wrong. That was seen in FS9 as well. It certainly had its share of complaints. In fact, every version of FS has had issues that fligth sim enthusiasts wished could have been changed, improved, or addressed. FSX is no different in that regard.

Raindrops on windshield.

>I miss the lack of complainersInstead there is a strange muted response from the community ;)

FSHotSeat! If FSX wasn't so darn good, it in itself would be enough to drive me back to FS9.Regards,Mark

>Nothing. I went back to using FS9...>Geez, I never left FS9 to start with, and still get heckled when I post on that forum! :-lol L.Adamson --- FS9, FSX, X-Plane 8.60

#1...None of my old cockpit gauges/sounds work.. IE: I haven't had GPWS or landing calls, etc since FS9.. Flying a 737-800with no GPWS or landing calls, etc, well, that #$%^ ain't right.. :/I guess within the program itself, I likedthe fs9 rain/snow effects better. Alsothe way it streaked off the VC's windscreen..Other than that, not much I guess. Unlike many, I have never really had performance issues. And I fly jets to and fro from bigger cities too..Some of the airports might bog it down pretty good, but I hardly fly to those particular airports so I don't see it much..I haven't actually flown FS9 a single timesince I got FSX..I can't go back to FS9.. The VC's are just not in the same league, not to mention the texture res, etc..MK

BTW...My original version of FSX has run wellenough for me, that I haven't even tried SP1yet.. And judging from some of the reports, I may not.. I don't have stutters or blurriesas it is, and not sure I really need em... :/Some seem to be having some issues with the patch..MK

I tried SP1 but I have also gone back to the RTM version. The ground textures look much better than with SP1 and the framerate difference is minimal. No blurries and no stutters (no autogen either but I think things look better without it).Doug

Just miss one thing from FS9: Radar Contact. Nothing else. I love FSX!
