June 19, 200718 yr >I miss the lack of complainersNope, wrong. That was seen in FS9 as well. It certainly had its share of complaints. In fact, every version of FS has had issues that fligth sim enthusiasts wished could have been changed, improved, or addressed. FSX is no different in that regard.
June 19, 200718 yr >I miss the lack of complainersInstead there is a strange muted response from the community ;) Quote from MS Flight Team Lead: "We’ve made some guesses"
June 19, 200718 yr FSHotSeat! If FSX wasn't so darn good, it in itself would be enough to drive me back to FS9.Regards,Mark i9-13900K @ 5.8Ghz / Asus TUF 4090 OC / 32 GB DDR 5 / Corsair 1000W PS / Pimax Crystal / 2 SATA SSD / 2TB M2 SSD/ DOF Reality H3 motion platform/ Win 11
June 20, 200718 yr Several similar threads have existed. I don't see me in this one, or have overlooked it, so I will say again: FSNAV in spades.Happy flying:RTH

June 20, 200718 yr #1...None of my old cockpit gauges/sounds work.. IE: I haven't had GPWS or landing calls, etc since FS9.. Flying a 737-800with no GPWS or landing calls, etc, well, that #$%^ ain't right.. :/I guess within the program itself, I likedthe fs9 rain/snow effects better. Alsothe way it streaked off the VC's windscreen..Other than that, not much I guess. Unlike many, I have never really had performance issues. And I fly jets to and fro from bigger cities too..Some of the airports might bog it down pretty good, but I hardly fly to those particular airports so I don't see it much..I haven't actually flown FS9 a single timesince I got FSX..I can't go back to FS9.. The VC's are just not in the same league, not to mention the texture res, etc..MK Mark Keith
June 20, 200718 yr BTW...My original version of FSX has run wellenough for me, that I haven't even tried SP1yet.. And judging from some of the reports, I may not.. I don't have stutters or blurriesas it is, and not sure I really need em... :/Some seem to be having some issues with the patch..MK Mark Keith

June 20, 200718 yr I tried SP1 but I have also gone back to the RTM version. The ground textures look much better than with SP1 and the framerate difference is minimal. No blurries and no stutters (no autogen either but I think things look better without it).Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage.
