A man, a plan, a canal - Panama! (in a Kodiak)

Featured Replies

I don't have the highest opinion of Orbx's stuff generally these days, but the City Packs are usually pretty good, and this is a good one. Heading out from Vpilot's MPTO, which is one of my rare scenery buys from the Marketplace, presumably because it was on offer. And I do like the Kodiak, but I wish all the liveries weren't quite so bright and shiny and new. Just a little bit of dirt or wear would make all the difference.

Anyway, the view over the the airport buildings away towards Panama City

An interesting flight. And Kodiak is very interesting when you control the flight with your hands.

Unfortunately, I haven't flown it for a long time, I was fascinated by the FSW C414 and the Caravan (Black Square C208 Analog), but your flight reminded me that the Kodiak has been gathering dust in the hangar for a long time. And the next flight I will definitely fly on it.

+1 !! I did this tour once by ship, interesting too. Maybe I have to redo it in something more spectacular, maybe the Mauretania 🙂

Thanks guys. I took maybe four times as many shots as I posted, there really is some great scenery around there, both with the Orbx package and just the natural landscape

Cheers Pete, one of my faves, but I can't claim originality for it. Can't remember now where or when I first came across it.

Cheers Nick. I have mixed feelings about this plane. It's always fun when I do use it, but it is a bit fugly, and it really does always feel way too shiny and new to be convincing, visually.

Thanks Bernd. Do you mean a sea trip for real or in the sim? If sim, what did you use - you've got me curious now!

Cheers Ryan, and get yourself the Orbx package (if you haven't already) and go exploring - it really is a great looking area.
