September 6, 20223 yr Pro-ATC/SR 'sees' the AIG traffic, and will chat to them to a limited extent. You can still get conflicts in the air where TCAS reports the other traffic without any word from ATC though. Maybe that will be fixed at some point. Ian Box

From the ProATC-site: "The actual traffic (AI) continues to be controlled by the flight simulation but is detected and considered and even changed by PRO-ATC/SR. That means you won't get a clearance for takeoff when an aircraft is on final approach or still on the runway. It will even be controlled to avoid collisions with your aircraft when airborne." I don't think ProATC will ever do more than this, also because it never did in previous versions. ProATC will not command AI to do anything simply because it can't: it will only remove it from the sim if needed. So 'even changed' should actually be 'even removed'. ;) It's kinda funny how most Air Traffic Control addons (apart from FSHud) do NOT control traffic at all LOL

We’re talking 2006 by the way. It was only partially successful because the Ai engine in FSX kept trying to retake control back from RC4 and then RC4 would attempt to retake control. 🤣 You then had the comical situation where an Ai a few miles behind you would suddenly accelerate at warp speed going past you towards the airport and beyond. We gave up trying to control Ai. They really do have a mind of their own. Maybe things are better in MSFS. Ray (Cheshire, England). September 6, 20223 yr Yes...Radar Contact, it was amazing. "you busted your altitude again..." do it repeatedly and here comes FAA FSDO rep to greet you on the ramp (verbally).

Because users didn’t know the difference between a flight level and altitude. 😉 Or failed to initiate a climb quickly enough. Still in use today by many. 👍 Ray (Cheshire, England). They always seem to call when I am trying to update the FMC or I am approaching a big airport's scenery area and the frame rates drop dramatically to single digits, then the PC is not quick enough. If I am "otherwise engaged", then it's just tough luck for them.😜 Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor.
