What AI Traffic Solution?

For me, the AIG TC app takes longer to load than the sim, and during the loading process, it’s unresponsive (appears to have hung according to Windows) and when it finally loads, the map view takes another few minutes to load. It’s horrible for me.

It's not without its problems, that's for sure. I sometimes can have it working for hours only to have it completely disappear during flight other times. FSHud can take care of the injection of AIG traffic in it's own way, but FSHud is not without it's own problems either.

Ok not sure what that is.

If you remember Super Traffic Board it serves the same purpose. Software that presents the status of all Ai in the simulator.

Either way, airports are far too sparsely populated than they should be with the real time traffic. It's definitely better than nothing but still has a long way to go. The payware live traffic is much better but still has too many quirks for me to want to pay for it.

I was at MMUN, and by the time it was time to pushback, 75 of the airport was full.

I watched at FB Dulles yesterday for 40+ minutes and 6 aircraft was all that showed up. It's just too unreliable. AIGTC for me, no corny default models or wrong liveries.

From memory there isn’t a freeware ATR-72 . I’ll need to check tomorrow. Plus some private jets. Less critical of course.

Off topic as it's not AI, but I'm so looking forward to the ATR 42 and 72 coming to MSFS, and from two separate developers to boot.

I finally took the plunge and installed AIG (thanks a lot @tup61 for that great guide, it was very useful!). Overall I‘m very happy with it. The only really odd thing I‘ve come across is that at LFSB the AI aircraft don‘t follow the taxiways (so far I haven’t seen it at other airports). Instead they drive over a field. Now I‘m wondering if there‘s a way to fix this. I have the FSDT version of LFSB and I‘m using AIG Traffic Controller.

AI is fully controlled by the Sim. If you have issues with 3rd party airports, disable the addon and test the default airport to see if the isuse is related to the addon airport. If thats the case report to the developer of the scenery

So AIG provides the flightplans e.g. a DLH from EDDK-EGLL then the rest is up to the sim e.g. approaches, departures, movement on ground?

Does AIG cover small regional Airlines like "Cape Air" and cover smaller commercial flights in prop driven Cessna's?

Thank you for your reply! I‘ll try that.

yes, and we work to include more of the smaller airlines. I am currently working on an update for Southern Airways Express/Molulele Airlines, Surf Air and Advanced Air

I'm curious why your guide suggests setting AIG TC to auto injection on startup to off?  What's the advantage of doing it manually?
