He said it wasn't going public the second it was uploaded, that it could be served selectively to some testers before going public (i.e final pre-release testing). That, as I'm reading it, means this is intended for the early access release.

Hahaha... beside the background of the news... Indeed fun that Germany can be seen as a third world country when it comes to internet access and mobile coverage. And me beeing german can just confirm that 100%. Luckily me getting a full ftth soon.

Something for the X-Plane 11 store key was also updated 2 days ago, presumably to make ready for X-Plane 11 + 12 keys? https://steamdb.info/app/269950/subs/

I've only been to Germany twice, Berlin in 1997 and Langen ( ATC / MET / ... trainning center ) in 2015, and I have seldom contacted directly with germans, but most of my fellow glider pilots do and 99% of the portuguese gliders are "D-" because it is so much more simple and effective to register in Germany.

Soaring activity in Germany is also an example !

A friend with years of contact with Germany, professionaly and as a glider pilot says : "Germans earn their money and they know it's not easy ..."

I guess you are very "self-controlled", pragmatic, effective and efficient... Probably why you use parcimony on all of what is not really fundamental.

...hell why doesn't that work when it comes to buying sim addons? 😄

I'm afraid XP12 is coming out TOO SOON. I remember just few months ago when Austin was presenting stuff in the live stream, FPS was horrendous. Do you think they polished it in just few months, while adding more features and stuff?

As with XP11, it's a long road ahead. I doubt XP12 will be usable in the first few versions, but hey, I hope I'm wrong.

Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

So much negativity. Its hard to run a flightsim and stream live at same time. Takes a lot of resources. Cant expect it to not impact FPS.

Personally I'm entirely expecting the initial releases to be a complete mess.

The idea of an Early Access release is to send a game out before it's complete to get as many people looking at it and testing it as possible. If that's not what someone is looking to do then they have the option to keep using XP11 in the meantime and wait for a more polished release.

You can be certain it won't be polished when it's out, but after all it will be an early access/alpha/beta. And we know how they worked on XP11. These things, especially with them, takes time. What matters is that they move forward, even at their own pace

Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."

Really, if it was they wouldnt release it at all. No confidence so much negativity.
