That is just nonsens i would say, since August 2020 I am in the MSFS boat and you shure know the lot of upates that happens since that time and never , simpy never i had a problem with updating over the Store and with the Store version and that is the true.. September 10, 20223 yr I just did a flight with the Beta and had no issues, I also did not have to re-install the sim. I use the MS Store version.
