and to be honest, they shouldn’t work that weekend too because it’s just a beta build

and no mercy for us poor "just a beta" testers? we had to stay up late until midnight when they finally released the beta, only to find all our purchased assets were gone with a heavy cross wind. and then fly through half the night to find the update was actually a downgrade. ran out of fuel, spiraled down on some lone greek island in the Aegean sea. got up at noon on saturday after 4 hours sleep. how I wish I was in Carrickfergus or Kiribati. it's been a beta testers hard days flight. bon weak end 😊

That’s plenty!! I’m humping along in .18 on the search for some lost treasure in SE Asia. Forgot about .20 already. Has it been released yet?

I haven't noticed anything odd with the takeoff clearance though.

Unless I missed something.

Sounds like some in Beta needs to shut MSFS down for a while and go take a walk and a break for few days. I'm sure some folks over there on the other end "cough Asobo" took a few days off too.

I don't think it gets released next week, after all that hurry's pushing one update after the other out to testers..

Seems to me there is to mutch pressure for that and there is still the NVIDIA update we have to wait for..

cheers 😉

If you go on https://developer.nvidia.com/vulkan-driver you can find an beta nvidia driver more recent than the actual 516.94 used by a lot of people (I found it while searching for information about NVidia drivers for X-plane 12).

This new driver is 517.22 version and MSFS SU10 Beta .18 will run perfect with it 😊 I've been using it for a week without any problems.

The question arises, is this driver better in terms of DX12/DLSS than the current 516.94?

they mention mostly Vulcan and Linux specific issues, so perhaps those x-anadu 12 users have a 1 week advantage 😊

@Turbomax,
Do you try it ?  No, so before you make fun of it try it !

As far as I'm concerned I'm on the SU10 beta program since the first days with the 516.94.
I tested DX12 with DLSS and since I'm on this new driver I have no complaints about the fluidity and performance of MSFS. Moreover, no crashes since its installation, which does not seem to be the case with users of the old drivers.

Best regards, Didier "Lagaffe"

Bon Jour Didier

indeed, I always try to make fun, normally not about drivers though 😀. I just see no point in experiments with that beta driver when we know that SU10 final, probably simultaneously with the new Nvidia DX12 optimized driver, is within VFR distance. if it had those new DX12 memory optimizations, I am sure we would have heard about it by now, instead of mostly Linux and Vulcan improvements.

"I'm on the SU10 beta program since the first days with the 516.94."

welcome to the club. except my Nvidia driver version is still 512.15, but please make no fun of it.

Bon weak end. yes I know, my french is week.😀

A driver isn't only for applications but also for the system (Operating System).

Currently, in my opinion, on these DX12 problems, it does not seem to me that it is NVidia that is late but Microsoft/Asobo since the Beta version for Steam works very well. I don't believe that NVidia develop many version of its drivers at the same time. This one is optimized for Vulkan, yes ... but it contains possibly modifications asked by Microsoft/Sobo ...

So it could very well be that the official driver that will be proposed to us will finally this 517.22 in official version.

Perhaps, maybe I'm wrong, but who knows, you have to be a player... especially since this driver works very well with the beta version of X-Plane12 😉

and possibly not. no need to speculate. if the Nvidia driver DX12 problem was fixed, the forums would be flooded by .20 beta testers celebrating. but

It's, oh, so quiet
It's, oh, so still
You're all alone
And so peaceful until...

You ring the DX12 bell
Bim bam
You shout and you yell
