Here's an illustrated summary of my general aviation world tour that I completed yesterday. My overall impression after travelling 24,082 nautical miles (44,600km) is that there is beauty everywhere. 

From the natural beauty of Iceland:

From the snow-covered wilderness of Greenland:

...to the lush beaches of the Amami Islands [Japan]:

I flew over majestic peaks:

[Mount Kinabalu, Borneo, Malaysia]

...and saw impressive man-made structures:

[The Great Seto Bridge, Japan]

[Vladivostok, Russia]

I found unexpected beauty in far away places:

[Flight from Juneau to Valdez, Alaska]

I landed at tiny grass fields:

[Ranger Creek Washington, USA]

...and at major hubs: 

[Haneda Intl, Tokyo, Japan]

In all sorts of weather: 

[Nome, Alaska - winds 17 gusting 25, visibility 3sm, light rain, mist, clouds broken 700ft]

I had rainclouds in Pokhara, Nepal:

Thanks Ryan! Yes, it was quite the adventure. Already thinking of doing a southern hemisphere one, and I think I've got the flight plan set up between Chile and New Zealand. That requires the use of the TBM on a couple of legs though - or the King Air if it's released in time 🙂

Thanks 🙂 It wasn't easy to choose only 20 though, out of +4000 😉 (yes I like to take screenshots). 

What an incredible journey and pictures. It is quite amazing that we can now explore the diverse landscapes and cityscapes of the world from our home like this. Thanks for sharing.

Great journey, great photos, and shows off just how good MSFS's world and weather rendering/simulation is... you should plan for a circuit like starting at the very southern tip of South America i.e. at Guardiamarina Zañartu (Chile) or Ushuaia (Argentina) and then up thru the Americas thru to Greenland and then traverse all the way down to the southmost tip of Africa like Cape Town 🙂

An awesome expedition. It's giving me ideas on where to go next when I finish my flight across Canada.

That's great! I find having these kinds of projects is a bit more fun than the random flying. I just started a NZ tour. Canada though... even though I spent quite a few hours there on my world tour, I still feel I've only seen a tiny bit of the country.
