September 15, 20223 yr Anyone else getting this pop up warning, "connection lost" every few minutes, ?
September 15, 20223 yr Haven't had that, but my G1000NXi mysteriously reverted to a G1000 after I loaded a flight (and yes, G1000NXi installed). Might be a cloud issue? Have restarted and am off to do something else while I quietly curse the glaring shortcomings of cloud computing. 😑😂
September 15, 20223 yr I have had that happen when my cable modem gets reset by my ISP. Sometimes I have to reset it myself. I have always found it to be a problem with my ISP when that happens. They once replaced my drop (cable) and that solved a lot of connectivity problems. So much can go wrong with temporary outages to the WWW. These days it rarely happens to me once a month or so is all. We use Spectrum Cable here 350mb/s most of the time. September 15, 20223 yr Author As suddenly as it started, it stopped. I guess they changed the batteries in the server...😉

September 15, 20223 yr I will experience this phenomenon every now and then. I will get it several times in a flight sim session(s) in one day, and then it will disappear for several days. Then, randomly it returns. I blame the cloud computing aspect of MSFS too. It has it's advantages, but that constant connection lost messages that pop up in the middle of the screen when it happens are very aggravating. Who knows if it will every go away completely. September 15, 20223 yr I wonder if it could help using VPN or WARP? Using the map enhancement mod certainly seems to help. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

Interesting suggestions, but I don't want to use the map enhancement mod, even though I know some users are very happy with it. I just don't want to add another complex layer to my addon layers that could potentially complicate things more, especially as I am very happy with my performance in MSFS as the look of the scenery. I have things dialed in really well on my system. That connection annoyance is the only real issue I ever have. As for VPN or WARP, I would rather the built in systems that came with MSFS would work as they are intended. Anyhow, it's not a huge problem for me as it is for some users, but it is annoying when it happens repeatedly during a flight. September 15, 20223 yr I pretty much "fixed" my issues with server disconnection errors popping up. I turned off Rolling Cache for a while and that sorted the issue for a small bit but it came back, so I turned back on Rolling Cache but changed the location of the folder the rolling cache is saved into, I saved it onto another drive outside of the core sim folders. I also changed the size to about 40GB, since then I haven't had any connection issues, I am not sure if I am just lucky and the method I have mentioned above doesn't work, but I am quite positive that it does.
September 15, 20223 yr Had several "Not enough Bandwidth" messages yesterday but ISP was 'slow' all day so not sure where the issue is. T45

This might be worth a look on my end. I have stopped using Rolling Cache sometime last year, as it really doesn't make a difference for my system. My internet service is really, really good (my download speed is 900 Mbps and upload is 920 Mbps). That said, I have plenty of drive storage space available to give this a try, and from what you are saying, it does make some sense to give it a shot. Thanks for the idea!
