September 28, 20223 yr DLSS or TAA makes no diffrence for me FPS wise or temp wise. But I hate the screens (fenix/NG & HJ) and ever worse the nubers on the tapes as they move. EDIT: CPU temps go up a bit but nothing really but thats becasue its useing them all better. Edited September 28, 20223 yr by Nyxx David Murden. Do I have to put down the Render Scale from 100 to 60 and thats it? searched everywhere but could not find something. AMD FSR is not yet available for msfs. This needs to be built into the software by Asobo. FSR is a scaling technolgy like DLSS and should not be confused with the AMD sharpening slider currently in the sim. However AMD have made RSR scaling technolgy available in recent Adrenalin AMD GPU drivers. This is a driver based version of FSR that can be turned on in the GPU driver software, I currently use this for MSFS and achives good results for FPS. I use in sim resolution of 3200x1800 which RSR upscales to 4k and notice very little degradation in image quality but with a significant imptovement in frame rate and smoothness.

What setting in the NVCP would that be, Ed? To add to @Simple B's response to you i went back and copied my instructions on how to get it running and my experience using it back in March when the feature was released.. You may have to adapt it to your resolution obviously but the steps are the same. Maxisone Mar 21 Requirements Go to the AMD software and enable Radeon Super Resolution It will then ask you if you want to view the instructions on how to get it running. Essentially start the sim in full screen mode. Head to the game resolution and lower it 1 step. In my case i went from 3440x1440p to 1920x1080p Apply the settings in the game Hit Alt + R and make sure its showing a green checkmark Use MSFS in game render scaling to “season to taste” (Best used to smooth out a few jaggies if they are noticeable or add definition) Voila !! a solid framerate boost. Now considering my Rig (5900x/6800xt) and the fact that i have my GPU overclocked and locked at 50fps under normal conditions without enabling this feature im more than likely not the target market but wow , 5700xt peeps … yeah … this should work a treat !! 1 caveat … This aint gonna fix being mainthread limited at the majors (KJFK,EGLL and the like) So expect frames to drop as usual around those parts. Otherwise there is a SUBSTANTIAL BENEFIT to be had using this if you are needing to give your GPU a helping hand and can live with what i would say a minor hit on image quality for which luckily the software can actually fix a bit with the render scaling feature . Just dont go overboard on it. Also note that i did not enable Vsync … Maybe someone else can test to see if you can enable MSFS Vsync with it… Vsync via the drivers and framerate locking via Radeon Chill will be disabled when super resolution is enabled. Thanks You can set it in the "Global Settings" tab or in the "Program Settings" tab (In the "Manage 3D Settings" section of the NVCP) . It's always better to particularize, in this case Microsoft Flight Simulator, from the drop-down list, that way your new settings would only apply to MSFS (in case you have other games installed as well). Once inside one of the two tabs, in step (2) you select your graphics card and finally in (3) look for "Image Sharpening", click on it and select ON and your desired settings (the second one, the film grain thing, could be left at the default value of 0.17). On my gaming laptop I have it selected to 0.30 (i.e. 30%), but you can test/choose to your liking/taste. Look also for the "Anisotropic Filtering" section, and set it to your liking from here (inside the sim, disable it). I have mine selected at 16X and the results are very effective for all taxi lines and ground markings in general.
