Wing42

Featured Replies

Maybe some of u have any info about this developer, as after 247D release he has completely vanished - no any info, no updates...

Very strange way of running own business.

Wines flowing and beautiful young women dancing on the table is what I can think of. Wing42 probably picked some faraway exotic destination too.

I haven't flown my 247D in quite some time. Is it broken after the latest sim update?

Cheers,

it is ok, but list of different issues and possible improvements may be long but there is nobody to take care of those...

Yeah, I've been wondering what happened to the development of this. Remember having engine failures (despite, at least to the best of my knowledge, not even doing anything wrong) and put it in the hangar for that reason.

engine management is on my list too - those seems to be oversensitive

I wouldn't write Wing42 completely off. I think this dev is pretty much a one man show and I assume after big releases he just vanishes into vaccation/ burn-out/ whatever.

I already bought the Vega for FSX from him, which was a pretty cool plane btw and there he also vanished for ~1 year or so and then resurfaced and continued development.

Still a strange way to conduct business.

Cheers!

He has a lady that does the flight modeling and a sound guy that's about it other than that its just one guy (Otmar) not the swiftest for sure if anyone is familiar with his product from FSX/P3D. Still probably the best aircraft in the sim at that price point, something different and unique ancient navigation no magenta line here.

This is exactly what he did with the Vega in P3D.  Released a half finished plane then completely disappeared from view for two years...even shut down the  forum on his website.  Never fixed the Vega ..just began to promote his new project, the 247, which is also unfinished.

I am not optimistic.  He simply feels no obligation to his customers whatsoever...neither to complete a project nor to communicate in the slightest degree.

Never again with this guy.

As per German law for business websites, contact info is on his website, you could just call him and ask.

Numerous people with the same surname run businesses in his hometown, maybe some are relatives and know what is going on.

So if somebody is really curious, it's propably just a matter of making a few calls....

I remember how everyone was praising the developer about this aircraft release at the time for its fair price point. That it was a sign of things to come, with lower priced addons being the new reality. I bought into the hype and bought it myself thinking any release issues would soon be patched. I thought at the time, what a great developer, I want to support him and thank him for the fair pricing. How I was wrong.

Yup, we've appeared to have been left high and dry. I'm afraid to say that 'Wing42' appear to be all fur coat and no knickers. Shame on them!

I mean the plane seems fine to me.

Especially for something that cost $20.47
