Now that the various addon authors have had a chance to react to the WU11 launch, there are some workable solutions that make the big cities of Vancouver and Toronto look good again.

First thing to do, is to disable the WU11 PG Cities.  That can be done in the Content Manager, or by deactivating the fs-base-coverage-map-canada-tin folder.

Replacing the downtown scenery for these two cities can be done as follows:

Vancouver:

Add part one (for performance reasons), of the two part: https://flightsim.to/file/41597/vancouver-improvement-mod

Add updated version of Vancouver Bridges: https://flightsim.to/file/5314/vancouver-bridges-vancouver-bc-canada

Add the updated harbour: https://flightsim.to/file/33073/port-of-vancouver-vancouver-bc-canada

Toronto:

Add:  https://flightsim.to/file/538/greater-toronto-area-enhancement-pack

In addition:

Activate the latest WW Marinas: https://flightsim.to/file/38499/mamudesign-marinas

If you are also using CYTZ from FSimStudios, you'll need to rename “fsimstudios-airport-cytz-billy-bishop\scenery\CNTower.bgl” to “CNTower.bgl.off” in order to avoid CN Tower duplication.

I think the FSS CYTZ scenery comes with a compatibility option with the Toronto enhancement scenery?

I have an MSFS NHL games circuit planned over the next two weeks, from here to Seattle, then to Edmonton, and on to Winnipeg. Any freeware Canada freeware enhancements for Edmonton and Winnipeg other than FreekyD's tree and water fix addons, which I have?

Haven't seen it yet,  but I saw people criticizing the updated Niagara.   It's one of the things they should have spent extra time really polishing, imo.

So if these addons are done by the same developers who did the work for WU11 why can't they just take some time to Fix the WU so that we can all reinstall it and not have to jump through all these hoops. Not that I cannot do it. I can. It's just a pain in the you know what. And what about all the issues with Victoria and Vancouver Island etc.

EDIT: I see I miss read the OP. Its not the developer of the WU. Its the developers of the previously commonly addons used for Vancouver and Toronto. Correct?

The change Log on RomanDesign Toronto Enhancement Pack is dated is dated December 15th 2020 so nothing new there.

the marina addon change log is dated September 24, 2022

Sorry I think this post is misleading as it relates to Toronto

How do you delete/disable just the cities without deleting everything else? I don’t recall seeing a separate listing for the cities, but I could be wrong 😊

On the far right of the World update in the Content Manager, there is a blue "listing" icon, which if you click on it, opens up the contents.

For Vancouver Island, add the 15m freeware mesh for the Island, Nanaimo airport etc..

Thanks for posting this!  Also, for those who would like a general scenery enhancement pack for metro Vancouver, FSimStudios is "considering" making one. But they are just considering at this point of time and have not confirmed they will make one.  FYI, FSimStudios is the same company that made CYVR (Vancouver International airport), CYEG (Edmonton International airport), Kelowna airport, and more Canadian airports for MSFS.  And their prices for their MSFS airports are quite reasonable.

If you support a general scenery pack for metro Vancouver, please let FSimStudios know in Discord in their the "General" channel. PS. For people that want the seaplane terminal in downtown Vancouver, get the FSimStudios CYVR, they modeled the seaplane terminal in downtown Vancouver!
