Worth it to upgrade to a RTX 4090 for MSFS?

Going from a 3090 to a 4090 is very extravagant, unless you can get a very big chunk of change for used 3090 which you can't unless you find a sucker and are willing to take advantage of said sucker. my 3090 cost me over $2500 two years ago. Therein lies your issue. You overpaid for a 3090. I will recoup two thirds of what I paid for mine 2 years ago. Not a bad deal At all. And I certainly won’t overpay for a 4090 either. If you make sure you pay RRP, in 2 years time you’ll only loose roughly one third of its value.

Using TAA instead of DLSS is not that much of a difference regarding FPS with the game MSFS2020. 

There is a lot of hate towards the 4090 😂

Here in Europe they are almost sold out and the prices are extremely high : € 2000 - € 2900 !!

Two years ago I bought my two 3090s for around € 1200 each new.  Their price increased up to € 2500….

As long as people buy these extremely high priced cards NVidia will keep the prices high and make them even higher ….

Yeah it's completely nuts. If AMD can achieve 4080 rasterizer performance in MSFS with RDNA3, I will go that route. Seems like they will also use less power which would be nice with regard to my PSU and my energy bill.

Hopefully it's released this year and it can compete with Nvidia.  

Besides FS2020 I also play other games.  

Tried AMD graphic cards many times.  

There drivers are not that stable compared to Nvidia drivers is my experience.

In my opinion it is not worth it, to go from a 3090 to a 4090. If you wanted more performance wait to upgrade to DLSS3 under dx12 when it will be fully operational.

Another thing before buying a 4090 ensure you that your case is large enough.  😉
