This! I can somehow get to terms with the H135, but the Bell 47 is like a wild chick with her own will.

Kind regards, Michael

The 47 is certainly a handful and at the opposite end of the spectrum from the H145 or H135.  I’ve spiralled it into the ground more times than I’ve landed it haha.

It's amazing what the MSFS team is doing with CFD in MSFS. And the new 20 KM CFD that surrounds the plane in SU11 is something that hasn't been done in a home market flight simulator before. The 20 KM CFD in SU 11 looks to be a game changer.

At least we know what they were doing while they were not fixing the clouds. Good call. 👍

They were going to fix them, but in a big staff meeting decided to spite you specifically.

Flight dynamics are more important than clouds.

Y'all misunderstood.

I was joking about clouds being more important than FD... Jeessh...

1 question do you need a 4090 rtx to run a heli fluidly with a fd cost? without any frame drops. I sure still run the Maddog MD82 fluid on a 2080TI with a 9900K.

Part of the issue is certainly I don't have a proper collective.

Michael

Hi Michael,

You don’t need a collective to fly helicopters, a joystick with throttle and pedals are more than enough. The most important part for me are the pedals, they are essential to master the hover, once you passes the Effective Translational Lift an helicopter, practically, flies like a plane.

Master the hover in a sim is quite complicated, even in professional Full Motion Flight Simulators, the “trick” is to do all movements smoothly and remember the third Newton’s law: “for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction”.

Best regards

I hope there's dirt/water spray FX when hovering over dirt and water.

It's unfortunate that neither Igor Sikorsky nor Alexander Graham Bell, the two pioneers of early helicopter design, are alive today to witness this tribute to their efforts.

😁

Alexander Graham bell would probably ask offensive initials not allowed is a helicopter?

You can fly-hover well and precise too a helicopter with a gamepad like joysticks-throttle-pedals, like I do and the Radio Control pilots do too, and in VR you can fly them even better.
