November 5, 20223 yr The chickens have been there since the first Polynesians inhabited the Hawaiian Islands more than a thousand years ago. They're on every island and especially prolific on Kauai. The condo we stay at in Kihei on Maui has it's share of chickens and roosters in the parking lot that wake you up bright and early. They share that parking lot with feral cats and everyone seems to get along fine. They're more of a novelty than a nuisance.

November 6, 20223 yr Cats are not likely to bother chickens due to the size of your average cat versus the size of your average chicken. Chickens are pretty big birds for a cat to go after and chickens will fight and they are nasty fighters.
