Release times, none of these should be surprising, it's the same time as almost every update they've released

You think they would stagger the download times, so the servers don't get hit all at once.

A Jumbo ( 747 ) is heavy, but not IMO a A310..?? 😂

cheers 😉

Thanks to the ol 757, the heavy weight was reduced from 300,000 pounds to 255,000 pounds. That 757 put out some series wake!

That wouldn't be very fair.

A310 is heavy in air traffic terms.

This 🙂

CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11

I believe the heavy definition was more to do with wake turbulence in ATC terms.

The A300, A310, and B757 could leave quite a turbulent wake behind them (maybe as much to do with the big engines), which is a danger to other aircraft of course without the correct separation.

A heavy definition by ATC meant a bigger separation time had to be given on take off and landing.

Fair?

It would make sense

I'm in the Beta for SU11, and it's fine if all you do is fly. If you care about AI Traffic, then it's a disaster.

I am as well. I think they might have snuck a fix in on us. I've had 2 flights in a row today where AIG traffic is working great. Airborne traffic is showing on TCAS, too.

I just left KCLT and I saw 4 or 5 airplanes taxiing and they were behaving themselves. No break dancing. 🕺

Is there a way to withdraw from beta as soon as the official 11 is released?

So that I don't have to install everything again

Withdrawing from the Beta increases your chances of having to install everything again. But if you do withdraw, then maybe this will prevent having to reinstall.

The spinning has been “fixed” since the first beta build. I put fixed in quotes because they’re still spinning, just so very slowly that it’s unnoticeable from a distance.

And I think you just got lucky with what you observed, I’m still seeing issues on my end. AI isn’t something they can fix server side.

I haven’t seen any dancing throughout the beta. The problem, as Tuskin mentions, is that although the AI logic is somewhat better, the negative impact on AIG and FSLTL injectors are pretty huge. Basically we won’t get any (or very few) arrivals using the injectors. So we could stop using these until SU12, when the issues are (hopefully) corrected. But for those of us that really like these freeware addons, and want to use real-time online traffic with AIG/FSLTL models and liveries, we’ll have very poor model matching, lots of generic models, incorrect liveries. And there’s also the fact that for some reason ATC in SU11 have stopped using call signs and instead switched to reg numbers / tail numbers. /rant

Phew.

On topic though, there shouldn’t be any issues when SU11 goes live for those currently in the beta. There will be an update to include all the new aircraft of course.

I am on the fence whether I should complain about broken AI, or not. On one hand I am happy they're starting to work on it and on the other I don't understand why they would slot the AI fixes in the 40th Anniversary release being pressed on time and not being able to postpone so they don't look like knobs. Sigh.

Yes, I couldn't understand your original comment MD.    Asobo have made some quick adjustments / fixes, and alongside the updated AI ground and AI flow files on flightsim.to, it isn't too bad now - a bit better at least.  A long way to go of course.

I am sure they will put some more work into SU12, as the traffic side of things is really developing now.
If JustFlight need improvements for their offering, maybe they will put some pressure on.
I notice Asobo do tend to respond quicker if their are commercial aspects involved as well.

Agree. I've had a few flights in the Fenix where ATC just stopped using my call sign and started calling me "Airbus" in the middle of the flight.

I just like AIG, so I've stuck with it.  It hasn't stayed running for me for very many flights in MSFS. It silently dies after startup or mid flight nearly every time.  Sometimes I try to restart it,  sometimes I don't. It'll get sorted.  I think Simconnect needs lots of work so I don't fault AIG. I've often wondered if there would be a way for Kai to compile the traffic controller in WASM and have it run inside of the sim, bypassing simconnect altogether. From what I've read in the sdk documentation, it would seem possible. Of course that's easy for me to say without knowing how the darn thing really works.

Are you running it in windows 8 compatibility mode?
