November 22, 20223 yr Useless for me, certainly important for others but when I play with an airliner in a flight simulator I couldn't care less about how the cabin ( pax area ) looks... I would like to be able, just as I did in fs9/fsx/p3d and even in xp, to get rid of all the stuff consuming useless GPU/CPU cycles nd a true candidate for me are these useless 3d representations. Does anyone know of an effective way to clear them out in MFS models? November 22, 20223 yr What, you don't spend some time in first class on those long-hauls enjoying a glass or two of Prosecco? All I know is that in the Fenix the cabin can be disabled in the EFB. Not sure how this affects performance though, never tested it. But I agree - having an option to disable the cabin might be a good idea - if it does consume significant resources. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
November 22, 20223 yr It would be nice to disable the same fluff for airports too. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
November 22, 20223 yr I personally like this extra stuff but I agree, having the option to disable it would be the ideal solution. But I guess that‘s down to the 3rd party devs. While this might be easy to implement for aircraft, for airports it‘s probably more difficult, not only because it means a lot of additional work for the devs but also because as far as I know options to enable/disable certain parts of a scenery aren‘t possible in the Marketplace. i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2
November 22, 20223 yr I dont fly airliners or much with a pax/cargo area bigger than the PC-6 or PAC 750, but id take losing the details there if it meant a bit more headroom to up the quality looking out the window. (dont know that it would actually make much difference though)
November 22, 20223 yr I have read that the Marketplace will not allow two versions of the same airport, one with default options and one with different options. Control panels, the only other way to implement such options, do not appear to be technically possible, or perhaps permissible, at present, who knows what the future may bring? It is interesting though, to see that they have found a way to offer Xbox vs PC options in two of their "own" products but not really surprising to see that this is still not enough for some. It might be interesting to know what, if any, advantage there may be to removing the passenger cabin, if the assumption that MSFS works the same way as FS9, FSX and P3D is not made.

That's a feature in the Fenix I always use 🙂 It's probably Placebo, but I feel it makes it even smooooother 🙂 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

If not mistaken the Game engine will take care of any objects that are not visible in your view and use lower LOD for these which results in a very good performance even if you have a dense objects. November 22, 20223 yr I mean, if you wanted to go all out, you could probably remove 95% of the sim content.

I agree! iniBuilds is coming out with a scenery configurator tool for their airports if you purchased from their store. Their airports are truly amazing, but heavy on FPS so it will be nice to have the option to remove certain features.
