MASSIVE FPS HIT !!! I'm getting single digits in frames. 

I think they borked the water shader for perf.

Janov says they're aware that some things are broken on this one.

B14 backup nearly complete. Overwrote my B13 backup, sadly not enough room for 3. I am still gonna update it to see.

Shadercache removed but dramatic fps decrease with rc1..... It s possible  a downgrade to b14? 

Yes, you have to invoke the installer (X-Plane 12 Installer.exe on windows) on the commandline with "--install_name='X-Plane 12.00b14' " as the argument and then don't check the beta checkbox and let it overwrite everything.

FPS drop confirmed as well. Downgrade to b14 dows not work. Error 404.

I read about the FPS hit over at the org, but my FPS has remained the same!

Opacity of clouds improved,btrees are shimmering less and the terrain is sharper. Shader improvements are good.

This is so strange as my locked 33fps is maintained in RC1!

A great update for me, I'm not seeing an FPS hit.  I'm just seeing some really nice improvements in both clouds and terrain.

I'm sure LR will be on the case quickly.

FPS hit confirmed, lost about 20 fps with the Rotate MD-11 at ESSA cargo apron using RC1.

RC1 is botched best avoid until fixed by LR. (or use at own peril)

I am actually getting better performance. Try deleting shader cache if anyone is facing low fps.

Hmm, think I'll wait until there are more positive reviews :)
