Envplus is released

Recommended Posts

I'm curious of the benefits with EA but WITHOUT the volumetric clouds. That's how I like my sim now as I don't really like the way the clouds behave, especially the absence of localized weather.

So, with EA on and VC off, is there any noticeable improvements ?

Looks nice.  I’m not big into tweaking settings. Will this automatically enhance things?

Hi Dan,

Yes it's been made with default Envshade/Envplus shaders already tweaked, the customization settings are there only if you want to touch them. You'll probably want to touch at the sky tint/saturation for EA for more variations but it's not complicated at all, no worries 😉

Yes, all the possibilities of P3D options were taken into account, you'll see improvements as well if you don't use Volumetric Clouds 🙂

I noticed on the website, "Not tested on Windows 11".

Hmmm...

Well, yes, as nobody in the team runs Windows 11, we all prefer windows 10 for its stability. That being said, we have developped Envdir with Windows 11 in mind, so it has all the prerequisites, and actually several if not many of our customers use Windows 11 without any issue. This warning on the website is iust about being honest, but it works also on 11 😉

Just installed and must say it looks great.

The awful light blob near the horizon when the sun is low is now gone when using EA.

Thanks. BTW, I've had no stability problems with Win11, yet.🙂

Had some time this afternoon to test Envplus (added to my Envshade).  Congrats to Maxine and everyone involved in this project, it is well worth the (very fair!) price.  I tested with the A2A 182, first in SoCal (ORBX), from KSBA to KPSP.  I use Active Sky w/ Cloud Art, Full Dynamics theme.  It was severe clear (well, for the L.A. Basin 😁) and the haze looked wonderful!  No Screenshots from that flight, but I had about 60 miles vis at 5500' cruise.  The distant mountains came into sight slowly and just grew clearer and more detailed as I closed in. Very nicely done!!  Then, just as the sunset was approaching, I relocated to KMFR where AS showed scattered clouds at 6000'.

Note the track and times (local and real):

Headed northeast with the setting sun behind meBdYdlSL.jpg

Turned 180 degrees back toward the airportkmJtGXR.jpg

Turning Final for RWY 14 at KMFRiVGrVok.jpg

I like how the clouds grow darker as the sun angle lowers toward the horizon.  Again in the Rogue Valley of southern Oregon, the haze looked wonderful, especially the closer the clock got to sundown.

As an aside, the cockpit seems brighter (I used Maxime's settings above for these first flights).  Nice job, TOGA Projects!👍  Thanks!!!

Didn't see any performance hit.  It was noted that there may even be a performance improvement... can't say either way after only a couple hours of testing.  I certainly didn't have to adjust any sim settings down to account for performance loss.

I run EA on and VC clouds settings at halfway (between full left "OFF" and full right "Medium" in P3D5.3 w/ latest HF).

About 1-2 FPS lower on average, pretty negligible.  All of my P3D settings are at Ultra (including volumetric clouds) 4K res with 4X SSAA ... my screenshots include FPS number in the upper right (for Orbx TE GB + TOGA + CP + iFly 737 Max + GSX + ...).

Hello,
Does it already work with P3d v45 or still have to wait.
By the way, I have a question, the program requires hf3, which I currently do not have.
Sorry for the trivial question, but my English is not too strong. I read somewhere that when installing hf3 for P3d v45 I don't have to uninstall the add-ons I have and they should work after installation, is this true?
I own many like AS, everything from TOGO PROJECT, PMDG NGX, REX ENV and SKY FORCE and many scenery from different publishers.
So I'm wondering if installing hf3 requires installing everything from scratch - I don't have much time for that unfortunately.

Thank you in advance for any information

Best wishes

Grzegorz
