December 24, 20223 yr Grzegorz -- all you need to do is to go into Windows Add/Remove Programs, remove P3D Client, P3D Content and P3D Scenery. Do NOT delete the main Program entry called Prepar3d Academic. When you uninstall the Client, you will be asked if you want to deactivate the software. Answer NO. Then install the new 3 files in the order I listed for deletion. You shouldn't lose anything if done correctly. Best of luck and Happy Holidays! It was noted that there may even be a performance improvement... can't say either way after only a couple hours of testing. I certainly didn't have to adjust any sim settings down to account for performance loss. I run EA on and VC clouds settings at halfway (between full left "OFF" and full right "Medium" in P3D5.3 w/ latest HF). Thanks

If you use ORBX FTX scenery, make sure to reinstall the ORBX Libraries and verify the files for any regions that you use. Alan

December 28, 20223 yr I bought it but it did not install into the sim. I am running P3D5. 1. Is version 5.3 required. SimMarket just states that version 5 is needed. Peter Peter Win10/64/32,0GB, [email protected], Gigabyte 1080ti, P3Dv5.1

Peter Hi Peter, v5.3 is required indeed, I'm sorry that it's not properly indicated on SimMarket, I've just contacted them so they will make the change. I would highly recommend v5.3 instead of 5.1 though as EA is much better in the latest version. The sim is also much more stable. You are not forced to install the scenery and content, the client is enough. Maxime TOGA projects
December 28, 20223 yr Thanks Maxime, I was reluctant to update as I have a very stable sim right now. Peter Peter Win10/64/32,0GB, [email protected], Gigabyte 1080ti, P3Dv5.1

December 28, 20223 yr Commercial Member Does this do anything more to cockpit brightness? The original Envshade still left my VC rather dark - I had hoped for a lot more brightness adjustment.
