December 30, 20223 yr A week ago I had a failing graphic card (it was overheating) and instead of getting it fixed I decided to upgrade the whole computer. My old graphic card was a GTX 1080, I now have a RTX 3080! I also added more RAM (I now have 32 GB of RAM). I also switched to Windows 11. The only bad thing is I have to start over and reinstall P3D 🙁. The thought of having to reinstall all of my scenery is very overwhelming. It's going to take me a while to get back to where I was prior to the upgrade.
December 30, 20223 yr It is overwhelming for sure. I had to do the same about 5 months ago and installed things gradually over time. I still have airports/planes that I haven’t reinstalled because I haven’t flown to a certain part of the world in those 5 months. Orman
December 30, 20223 yr Author Ok I just spent the last hour trying to log into the P3D downloads so I can download the exe file again. I cannot find my license info and for some reason the customer account information is not accepting my email address that I used when I purchased P3D. Hopefully someone at P3D can help me.

December 31, 20223 yr Author I have a question for you guys. I got my license info from the people at P3D and I am now downloading the exe file. It says it's version 5.3.17.28160. Now is that the latest P3D version or will I have to download and install the P3D 5.3 hotfix 2 also?

December 31, 20223 yr Author I have an install question this time. By default, P3D is installed to the C\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5. Is this good? I thought I remember it is better to install it somewhere else? It has been a long time since I did a new P3D install, and I don't remember how I installed it on my old computer.
