March 25, 20233 yr I spent 1 hour trying to find the best view that comes closest to reality. What do you guys think?

What slightly persuaded me finally were the stalk-lights on the taxiway in the first one - they are a plague in MSFS but I understand quite rare in reality. Also the light looks a bit washed out like it sometimes does in DX11 in the first pic. Might be wrong though, second pic looks more like I get in DX12... Shows how far the sim has come though, either way.

I have to agree with John, although the first one looks pretty real too Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080
March 25, 20233 yr Very interesting to see how realistic msfs2020 actually has become. Can't definitely make up my mind over this. If i had to guess i think the first one is real. Mainly because in the upper left corner we see a truck next to a plane that's seemingly bearing real weight, in the second one the trucks look a bit more static. March 25, 20233 yr First one, I can tell by the vehicles. But an outstanding idea Will. You're very creative in your shots man! Jack Sawyer
March 25, 20233 yr Author Thanks guys for commenting on both. I looked closer, i'll go for the second even if the first is good too. But it's not as easy as it's. I did my best! The problem i experienced was that it was not possible to find the exact angle as i was able to reference myself on flickr. @rayharris108, i'm on DX11. I haven't tested with DX12. I'll have to see if there's a difference. I don't think that will change anything. 🙂

March 31, 20233 yr Both are sim captures as far as I can see. On the first picture, the truck in the upper left corner has a typical MSFS halo around the tires. Also the plane does. In the second one I see repeating textures on the structures in the background and rather flat cars on the parking lot. On 3/25/2023 at 11:48 AM, rayharris108 said: Also the light looks a bit washed out like it sometimes does in DX11 in the first pic. The first picture is taken facing the sun. The second one has the sun in the back. But yes, the fact that we look this close to the captures says a lot about the quality computer graphics have reached these days.
April 2, 20233 yr Wonderfully contrasted pair of shots, Will ...!! One with the gentle silhouette of the plane, cast on the ground, and the other with a brilliant golden glow on it.... Very nice...!!
