I just went in for about 30 minutes of touch and goes.

In order to toggle off the hold, I clicked the spot once, then trimmed up or down a few times OR I just grabbed the yoke and pushed down a bit.

I was using the Alpha, by the way. Though, it shouldn't really do this. Then again, the plane doesn't have this IRL anyway haha. I will put in a ticket as well.

 

Also, rudder was all over the place for me. 7knt crosswind at YRED was sending me everywhere.

I have to disable the 750 in the panel.cfg as I have a Real Sim Gear 750 hardware unit which doesn't play nicely with the VC cockpit one.

 

I can use my 750 as intended but have a blank screen in the VC

Autopilot has a major glitch for me. The heading bug blinks and jumps back to the top of the dial if I try and move it once I'm in the air. I've been trying things all morning and am going back to my Bonanza now. I haven't seen anyone else mention this but it only happens with the two I have installed - the Warrior and the Turbo Arrow so I'm at a loss. 

How's the behaviour of the Turbo Arrow and Warrior in turbulence? I recall (before updates about six months ago when I last tried these planes) the plane flew through the air in an almost digital fashion - juddering up and down seemingly ignoring MSFS's own turbulent airflow. Has that effect been improved/removed with these updates? (I hope someone else knows what I'm talking about and it wasn't just my own experience! 😆)

 

 

 

I gave this latest version a try. Just a quick pattern flight. As with the previous version, it seems to lack elevator authority. A touchdown speed of less than 80 kts seems like it's on the edge of falling out of the sky. On the other hand, lower-speed flight maneuvers provides a realistic sensation that I don't get in any other light aircraft.... that I'm balancing the edge of disaster. One wrong move and down it goes. Unforgiving. IMO, that's an uncommon feeling in a sim.

I didn't use the autopilot so I have nothing to add there. 

 

I don't know who tested this aircraft after the latest update. but after flying it for a couple of hours, it has a some severe problems. 

 

1. The elevator trim is beyond ridiculous. Even with the new "trim sensitivity  adjustment" on the tablet, turned all the way to minimum, one click of up trim, and you have a 1000-1500 fpm minute climb. Two clicks down, and a 1,000 fpm dive. 

2 As I reported yesterday, in order to turn off altitude hold, you have to shut the AP off, and then re-engage it. 

I haven't flown his aircraft in over a year, and now I remember why....

Back in the hangar. 

Yeah, again I would send tickets to them. Hopefully they can fix these issues.

Agreed re the altitude hold bug. But the trim wheel seems ok to me. My main problem is the hugely over sensitive rudder on takeoff. 
 

Edit. When you say one or two clicks maybe that's your problem. It is a wheel and there aren't any clicks?

I have my sim set up to move the trim wheel with a button on my joystick, which I use on every aircraft I fly. One tap of the button moves the trim wheel a very tiny bit. I can also use the mouse to move the trim wheel the same amount, both produce wild trim responses. 

I just got a response from the ticked I posted yesterday about pressing the same spot turns altitude hold  on, but not off. They responded by telling me where the click spot is to turn it on ( and that will turn it off) .. You can't make this stuff up...

Odd. The trim seems fine to me.

I'll submit a ticket myself though re the altitude hold because it's bugged as you say. Clicking the hot spot does turn alt hold off on my Saitek multi panel (at least the alt light goes out). But it does not turn off alt hold as far as the plane is concerned until you force a change of altitude with the yoke.

I just got another note from, support. suggesting I reinstall the aircraft. I will give that a  try. 

I installed three times with the same results. Disappointing but I'm spoilt for choice with better things to fly so, no great loss.

Alt Hold, Rudder Authority is worse for me regardless of wind or power setting etc,

I just reinstalled it and now my joystick lost all it's settings. 😲
