What cred do you have?  All I see is some anonymous Internet poster who claims to have insider knowledge, obtained that he obtainedon a youtube video no less that Level-D simulation is in league with a PC based simulator, which is incredibly hard to believe by itself without proof, but you have it and won’t share it?

I'm not claiming to have 'cred'. I'm quoting the developer of the sim and a discussion thread (indeed here on Avsim) describing why it is being used in a Level D sim.

If this is the video he's been talking about, they go through a segment on FAA certification and there is no mention of Level D sim integration and definitely no mention of adoption due to superior lighting etc. I mean......MSFS does not offer an option for certification anyway so why would any training company care about the comparison? "Hmm MSFS is nice but X-Plane looks so much better so we should choose X-Plane for our training" See what I mean? Makes little sense. In any case, the guy has pretty much admitted he is a troll so I'm not going to give him any more attention.

It's really not good enough lol.  We've already explained to you that no level D si is using any part of any desktop video game, for visuals or anything else.

You're confusing simple FTDs for level D devices, and then attempting to behave condescendingly to those who are correcting you, and it's obvious you still don't even understand the difference.  I hate to say it, but you're kind of embarrassing yourself at this point.

I would further point out that there's nothing notable about any desktop sim being used to provide visuals to an FTD.  As these are not certification level devices, the FAA couldn't care less which visual they use or even if they use one at all; it's not required.  I imagine it's only a matter of time before we see MSFS used for visuals in an FTD, unless Microsoft doesn't want to license it that way for some reason.

But there's no FAA certification of the visuals involved at all.  It's not as if the other game has received some sort of FAA certification, though I see that confusion a lot in the sim world.

It's more than sufficient. If you can't handle "Level-D compliant visual database", and is actually being certified as such, with an accompanying laundry list of why it was chosen for the task... then sure keep tossing your pom poms.

Repeating: I never said it was systems/flight model. I never claimed the sim was driving the entire platform by itself.
